I'd rather have our players put two or three years of elite film out there and bail after three years than four JAG-ish years.
Well MJ has ONE year of good film not 2-3 of ELITE film, so where does he fit? Walton isn’t elite either, so..
So did Malik Hooker. If you're getting drafted in the first two rounds; leave.
Our problem is that this staff got their hands on our players too late to get all the elite play out of them that we should have gotten.
Bama does it them boys 3 and out
Another potential issue is that our coaches were on the road recruiting the day after the Clemson game while our players are back home getting all in their feelings. Perhaps the time to advise our underclassmen who are considering turning pro is immediately after the end of the regular season. All of this news about kids staying and leaving...who knows if they've even discussed things with their co-ordinators and position coaches bro.
He's not going to have better stats than he had this year. He had a good statistical year and has little on film to critique. Yeah he can get better by staying but that can also lead to having more flaws put on tape
Why does everyone think coming back is better for every player? Just because you put more on film doesn't mean you are going to be better. Mike Jack played well in the middle of the season and tailed off some later in the year. Coming back doesn't mean you are going to improve your draft stock. I mean look at Delaney, his stock has dropped dramatically for coming back this year. Mike Jack's stock is hot right now, smart move IMO if he left. Yes he would help our team if he stayed, but looking at whats best for him.
Who said Michael Jackson stock was hot? The people that matters (NFL Scouts) I'm sure they are not saying he's a top 3 round pick. I'm positive once he gets the proper feedback, he'll be at Greentree next year.
Maybe a player is scared that they won't have as good of a season as last. Kinda like Delaney probably had more nfl hype before he came to um.
His stock is not hot. Latest on him from NFL draft analysis is late 5th to undrafted. He is taking a huge gamble if he declares. Why does everyone think coming back is better for every player? Here's the poster child for all these guys that think they need to leave early...just so they can fight to get on an NFL practice squad as an undrafted free agent.

I don't get you guys saying, "Bama, Ohio State*, and Clemson have guys leaving early all the time. Doesn't seem to bother them."
Of course it doesn't bother them. They have something Miami doesn't have--DEPTH.
Michael Jackson leaving early would be a blip on the radar screen if Miami had talented depth. If that were the case, you wouldn't even notice he was gone. But that's not the case. Not yet.
So quit talking about how Bama and these other programs do it. It doesn't apply to this situation at all.
Once we have the proper quality and depth across the roster, we'll be fine.
The '99 - '02 teams were losing top quality underclassmen too.
We were backfilling just fine until Coker ran out of Butch's players.
But those kids were going in the first and second round.

If you’re referring to my post, you’re reading comprehension is sorely lacking.
