****Miami vs. Virginia Tech GAME THREAD****

Yes. Donaldson was just interviewed after the game on the AAC Network, and he said that Malik had a really bad migraine.

Migraines are no joke. I get them a couple of times a month, and obviously they vary in degree, but I could not imagine playing basketball with one. I usually curl up in a little ball like a baby and pray to my God, Constantine Popa, that the pain goes away.

FINAL: Miami 67, Virginia Tech 66

Hurricanes survive late and extends their winning streak to four, led by Tre Donaldson with 32 points, followed by Dante Allen (10).

UM shoots 44% FG, 25% 3PT, 69% FT -- but holds Hokies to 50% FG, 40% 3PT, 66% FT
Holds the Hokies to 50% FG and 40% 3Pt shooting? Lol those are elite numbers. It's amazing we won this game with our terrible shooting %'s but that's what this team keeps doing. Find ways to win when they really shouldn't.

Best crowd of the season. Seems like people have finally started to notice this team
If we can go 2-1 to finish February, then that final home game against Louisville could be a bonkers environment.

@UVA is going to be really hard. But who knows? Not a must-win game.

@FSU — They won’t be easy, either. They have our number and are playing a lot better down the stretch.

Boston College — should be a win, but I don’t expect the crowd to get fired up to watch us play one of the worst teams in the ACC.

@SMU — Tough game….but we need to find a way to win it.

Louisville — The Watsco will be bumping if we take care of business. Anything can happen under those circumstances.

Just take it one game at a time.

The fact that Jai was able to throw this team together and has them at 21 wins with 5 games left is amazing. His recruiting is obviously good, and even if we're the worst 21-5 team in the country, recruits and possible transfers are going to notice we're 21-5, have a coach that players seem to love to play for and literally run through a wall for, and I'm pretty sure we have good basketball NIL $$ too.

Sorry you have to deal with that, brother. They are definitely no joke, and can be extremely debilitating. I’m shocked that he even played.

Getting to 21 wins by playing 1996 basketball in 2026 is pretty wild

It’s not the just the pain that sucks. It’s the sensitivity to light and noise and sometimes the nausea. Can’t imagine playing in a game like this with one.
