Miami vs UNC game may have to be cancelled/rescheduled

Anyone saying it can moved is not really seeing the big picture.

UM was the same school that wouldn’t travel to a schedule game for a hurricane that, in the end, didn’t impact south Florida.

Now you want a team to lose a home game , play elsewhere, and deal with prepping for a football game? That’s retarded.

With it possibly being a Cat 4 or 5 storm that changes a lot.

The storm is expected to arrive Thursday. No way we are flying into UNC with our kids. With flooding and damage and power outages I doubt a game will be played Saturday

@DMoney have you heard anything about the game being moved?

Almost certain will not be a Cat 5 or 4 storm by time (if) it gets up there. No longer in tropical waters.

They don't have to lose a home game. The game can be rescheduled

In the end, it’s up to UNC and the ACC.

It doesn’t matter what we want, and UM will have some input, but I guarantee you it’s mostly going to be what UNC and the ACC want.

My guess is they will be making a decision no later than Tuesday or Wednesday.

We had app state cancelled. Remember, all y’all were like ‘how can the kids concentrate with a hurricane enroute’ and ‘some of these kids need to go home to prepare their families’

Why is it any different for UNC? The game should be cancelled, they aren’t going to be able to practice and there will surely be a large impact to the state if it continues on its current track.

Also, when the game is cancelled or moved, don’t be acting like an *** the way the app state fans and school did.

Arkansas St.

Let’s wait and see before everyone panics. We don’t fly out until Friday. How do u ******* know there will flooding and power outages and whatever?
Cause it’s Caroliner,We *** **** Up, it’s on their license plate.

- Chapel Hill, NC is not on the coast
- Chapel Hill, NC is not in the tropics
- UNC is a conference game
- Even if this thing is a Category 5, Chapel Hill is not going to be evacuated

How bout just wait and see what the hurricane will do. According to reports is unpredictable right now.

Your assuming that UNC will want to cancel. UNC does not want to CANCEL. Neither does Miami

Just take it to Charlotte. It's far enough inland and the storm is probably not even going to make landfall. Probably stay off shore and run up the coast before heading out to sea.

It’s definitely a possibility and those discussions are being had.

They need to see which way it shakes tomorrow and by Monday either move the game to Miami or ride it out. Can’t cancel a conference game unless both teams kick someone off their schedule later and play some later week.

They can’t cancel a divisional game. It would ***** up the whole season and standings. It’s not the same as Miami vs Ark St.
