One more thing I want to discuss being there live:

I hope this is a one time game. Yes Florida was the home team but the fact that they were able to bring both mascots, full band, cheerleaders, and dancers while Miami didn’t bring ANYONE for a nationally televised game on ESPN at a neutral site is embarassing.

I have to assume we were not allowed because there’s no other explanation

Isn't that usually the case for basketball?

I think logistics may have played a role here. Much easier and more convenient to bring your band to a night game when you're an hour drive away compared to 6 hours away.

Here's an AI "answer."

The University of Miami generally sends its mascot, cheerleaders, and a pep band to all away and neutral-site basketball games. This is part of the university's standard travel policy for its spirit program.

The University of Miami's spirit program, including the cheerleading teams and the Frost Band of the Hour pep band, are considered a vital part of the athletics program and cheer at all home and away men's and women's basketball games.

This is in contrast to some other schools or conferences where cheerleaders and bands may not travel due to cost-saving measures or specific conference rules. The Miami spirit squads are also present at the ACC and NCAA Basketball tournaments.

For anyone thats watched the other games this season, does reneau always miss this many inside a 3 foot radius? My god
No not at all.

Through the first 3 games, he was head & shoulders our best player, shooting 55, 75 & 60% from the floor.

Idk why he played so tentative against UF, but he by & far has been the best offensive player thus far.

From a close friend who’s an IU fan, the knock on Reneau was that he would dominate lesser competition but his efficiency would plummet against good teams with legit frontcourts.

I've seen high school teams travel farther and bring the support of band and cheerleaders

No excuses are acceptable for that; you bring out the entire squad whatever it takes (band cheerleaders coaches wives players baby mommas, you pay for half the student section and bus them) to play the Gators... don't matter if it's in butt fck Egypt or how much they are favored. This is what's wrong with UM's AD, finally fork up everything needed for the coaches but then says we aren't bringing all of our support to the game in Jacksonville. GTFO

It was a disgrace to call that a neutral site game. It was a road game. 98% of the fans were Gators, and there was zero overall UM presence in that arena other than the team itself.
