****Miami vs. No. 10 Florida GAME THREAD****

For anyone thats watched the other games this season, does reneau always missed this many inside a 3 foot radius? My god
He hasn’t until tonight. Some of it is UF’s size, but he’s played super tentative all night. He’s taking shots but shying away from contact and not going up strong.

Lucas has clearly prioritized defensive basketball. It will work most games. But against really good teams, our lack of shooting will hold us back.

But considering that we have a new, and 1st time coach, and a completely new team, Lucas had to make some choices, and I generally agree with prioritizing defense this season.
Yea I can't imagine that defense-first will be his identity every year. Duke, Kentucky and Texas put up points.

Lotta season left yall, dont throw in the towel just yet
Yep. Both our recent deep tourney run teams got blown out early in the year, and on the flip side last year’s team looked good in the first three games too.

Just avoid any problematic losses between now and conference play, and we’ll see what we have.

There were some positive takeaways. This wasn’t like that Kentucky game from last year (or was it the year before - both awful seasons blend together) where we just looked overmatched and listless from the start. It looked like we belonged for a good part of this game.

You just can’t expect positive results when you brick layup after layup, clank open 3’s, and miss so many FT’s. My concern is this team is just that bad at shooting, which is what many of us feared during the offseason when this roster was assembled.
