Miami vs Miami this weekend

There’s nothing we can do to stop the committee from moving the goal posts which is what they seem to be consistent at doing
exactly.

miami with 2 losses isnt in the same tier as notre dame or alabama each with 2 losses because miami's losses were to terrible 7-3 teams. The stength of Miami's non conference wins over ND head to head, UF who beat their beloved Texas and a USF team that until last week looked like a playoff team, are not significant . Its who you lost to. Unless you are Alabama who is in ND's tier with a loss to an ACC team that has won 2 acc games over the last 2 seasons combined. In alabama's case they are ranked in the same tier as ND because of the strength of their wins. They have 4 ranked wins- UGA clearly a great win and then wins over three vaunted SEC powerhouse in TN, Vandy and Missouri. Keep in mind those 3 teams are all ranked and their best wins are vs Missouri, Auburn, and South Carolina?

The goal posts will be moved week by week to justify a gap between miami and ND and the head to head will be ignored.

Miami could win the next 2 games 100-0 and unless several teams ahead lose, it won't matter.

Miami no longer controls its own fate. Well, they do if they lose. Then it's over no matter what. But even winning both games significantly, our game control isn't going to increase so much that we'd jump over Bama at 10, ND at 9, or OU at 8, or Oregon at 7, without them losing.

Our ceiling is #11 without help.

I disagree I think Bama should be afraid. Nobody is talking about it but amongst the 4 teams they have the worst loss. They do not want to be compared to Miami or ND h2h on the final ranking. OU will send Mizzou to unranked and Vandy or Tenn will lose and end up unranked. Its possible SMU or Louisville sneak back into the top 25 and that would be good for us if it came down to those three resumes.

The bottomline is if the choice is a 2nd acc team or ND vs a 5th SEC team I think the 5th sec team will be left out.

DO NOT STOP SCORING

Praying that this message gets through Mario's thick skull.
Com'on you don't think he's seen and heard what's taking place. I know it's fun to try to clown on Maio for a lot of different things, but he's not stupid. He knows what has to be done.

Not trying to clown him. Past behaviors are the best indicators of future results. Will see on Saturday, I'm praying to be wrong on November 23rd.

A 5th SEC team, which is Bama, is 0.00000% scared of a 2nd ACC team. Let’s get real. Again, I’m not sure what more people need to see. Alabama is 3 spots ahead of us today. What flips that in the next 2 weeks other than them losing? Nothing. Bama is in if they win out. Period. There is a billion percent chance of that. The only caveat here is the SECCG. If they make that game and get boat raced, it gets interesting. But a 10-2 Bama is beyond in the playoff. Not even a question. They’re telling you that right now.

BYU needs to lose to Cincinnati. That's the most important non Miami game left in the season. If they lose, we'll be in **** good shape.

GT beats UGA. Bama struggles with a weak AubUrn. Tenn smokes Vandy and Oklahoma struggles in their games but still win. What has Bama done then, except lose to an avg ACC team that we doninated for 50 minutes and beat Georgia team that lost to a better ACC team. For the record GT defense is a sieve and UGA will likely dog walk them. Gets even more interesting if ND struggles at all to close out Syracuse or Stanford and then we body VT and Pitt. Now Miami is in and it is really Bama vs ND.

Look, like all of our crazy scenarios to the playoff it takes a lot of **** to go down for the Bama resume to wilt but being the last team in from your conference no matter what conference is a dicey position to be in. Maybe its my Miami about to get screwed mentality but if I was Bama Id be worried about any scenario where the strength of our resume is being questioned against ND and Miami cause the strength of that resume is not bulletproof and may get weaker over the next two weeks

Miami is going to blow out VT….no worries

The real matchup is against Pitt..

ND didnt surpass 400 yards of offense but they surrendered less than 250.

ND had 8 penalties and 2 turnovers

ND had a def TD.

They played at Pitt in 64 degree sunny weather. And this was a game where Pitt admitted they couldn’t care less about.

Miami will have to match ND. Blowout, dominant defense. Play in colder weather. With something to play for.

Where Miami can best ND is on offense. Beck plays like he did vs NCST.

This will impress. It’s the last game of the regular season. The entire committee will be watching.
We are gonna find out if our meathead coach has pulled his head out of his *** and understands the game being played!!!!

He needs to have that team ready and he needs to be ready to ******* knock Narduzzi out his ***

At this point, where we are fighting for our life, I would do whatever it takes to put up as many point as possible these next games.

If that means keeping them in, then so be it. Our 2's and 3's aren't going to do anything to remotely help us, much less score the points we need
Yeah, I love us getting some youngsters and playing time at the end of the game, but I would’ve put the starters back into stop North Carolina state from scoring that last touchdown. A shutout looks so much better, especially against the opponent that Notre Dame has played as well.

Our Meathead doesn’t understand that yet

Disagree. That’d certainly be good to have in the bag. But Mizzou beating OU is by far the most important non-Miami game, because it’s only a 7.5 point spread, following by Auburn beating Bama, which Bama will be likely more than -7.5. I think. Maybe not though.

We are not catching/passing OU without them losing. Period. We’re almost certainly not catching/passing bama without them losing. BYU has by far the hardest potential game. Texas tech in the Big 12 championship. I put zero stock into that “conf champ games can’t hurt you” bull****. If Texas tech beats BYU 37-10, they’re dropping. It’ll be far harder to catch OU and Bama. We need them to lose or we can’t get higher than 11. Oregon is probably in this boat too. Someone has to lose beyond just BYU.
