Miami starting the Heisman advertising

I'm aware of that. Thing is, both times we won a Heisman, we lost the natty. I'm still in counseling for it so please pardon my PTSD manifesting itself in written format.
I got you.. That is tough.. I know last year natty chance will never leave me.. Still think of '03

But We have a Mario breaks all curses thread, Add that **** to list.. We winning EVERYTHING

From a purely historical standpoint having a Heisman Trophy winner increases your odds of actually winning the national title compared to the field and really increases your odds of making it to the big game. Going back to 2000, 16 of the 26 Heisman winners appeared in the national championship game the year they won. Of the 10 who didn’t, most either played for second tier programs and/or teams with ****** defenses (Travis Hunter, Jayden Williams, Caleb Williams, Lamar Jackson, both OU QBs, RGIII)

2025: Mendoza-Indiana, won NC
2021: Young-Alabama, lost NC
2020: Smith-Alabama, won NC
2019: Burrow-LSU, won NC
2015: Henry-Alabama, won NC
2014: Mariota-Oregon, lost NC
2013: Winston-FSU, won NC
2010: Newton-Auburn, won NC
2009: Ingram-Alabama, won NC
2008: Bradford-OU, lost NC
2006: Smith-OSU, lost NC
2005: Bush-USC, lost NC
2004: Leinart-USC, won NC
2003: White-OU, lost NC
2001: Crouch-Nebraska, lost NC
2000: Weinke-FSU, lost NC

Basically If you could guarantee me that either Mali or Mensah wins the Heisman, I’ll guarantee you that Miami is playing in the national championship game.

I hope osu loses a couple more and become an afterthought. They really want to crown Judas smith the heisman.

Mali has a better chance than most people think. Chances are at this point it'll be him, Mensah, or JSmith, & the QB taking over at OSU is a 5'11 3 star who throws a lot of picks. Chances are they'll lean on the run & not throw nearly as much, with inconsistent results when they do throw it. If all things stay as they are and we remain healthy, Mali's situation will be the opposite. And while Mensah's a great QB, Mali is a one of a kind player and will have better numbers and highlights than any other player relative to their position with Sayin going down.

I think the narrative for one of them will prevail by week 11 or so. If Mensah continues his insane completion percentage and TD-INT ratio, it will be him.

If he just has a really good season but not historic, you’ll see the narrative spin to Mali. Feels like Heisman is decided by the media 1-2 weeks before the actual vote so it becomes groupthink.
