Miami Spring Game updates.

Dude, if we are being honest Williams was the most impressive today. Perry is simply way to inaccurate and inconsistent to even be considered a starter at this point. 5 non contact scrimmages and he has yet to complete OVER 50% in one. Perry hype men have there heels dug deep. Any other QB would get destroyed. Dude has almost 3 times as many picks to tds as well. Incredible how some choose to overlook how **** poor he has consistently performed. Throwing 3 or 4 dimes doesn't absolve him for the rest.

I wasn't there and tried to follow listening to the radio and following the online play by play. My one take from this, and it may not be correct but it was my impression, was that Perry looked to run himself alot. It seemed like a few plays in a row he kept the ball and just ran. I assume that was because no one was open but no idea if he checked more than one option, etc Did you see that? What was all the running about?

We won 10 games with Rosier y'all act like y'all didn't know what we got to work with this season at qb?? We can win with him or in spite of him however u want to slice it.

This is the spring, plenty of players have improved tremendously between now and fall camp, depends on their individual work ethic.

I'd rather play this season out with Rosier than a true freshman or an even more inconsistent N'Kosi regardless if they have more potential. Unless one of the underclassmen improves enough mentally before Fall Camp.

I think we all need to prepare for another inconsistent season of QB play, no matter who starts. We know what Rosier is, at times he can't hit the broad side of a barn then he flips a switch and has a great drive.

As talented as Kosi and Jarren are the fact that one is a true freshman and the other never taken a college snap is concerning. If one of those two gets the nod it could be hard times for the offense, at least to begin the year. We can only hope they stay healthy and consistent enough to get a year under their belts and improve throughout the season.
Got news for you. Every QB starts their career without throwing a single pass in a game. If we don't play them, they will never get that experience. If anything, it's MORE reason to get them in there.

The oline play is what's going to determine how much we improve this season. We need to be able to lean on our running game more than we were able to do in recent years.

Regardless the oline is going to be better than what y'all crying about. They're going up against a top 5 dline in the country, they're going to get their asses kicked but they won't see dlines anywhere near as talented majority of the season. And we got the UT transfer coming in expecting to be an immediate starter at guard.

I got high hopes we need to be able to wear down teams with our running game for once especially now that we will be utilizing a FB at times as well.

Jarren Williams seems like one of those cats that you can throw to the wolves and he'll rise to the occasion. Just seems like one of those dudes.

/Far and away the most polished and consistent it seems. Very natural passer and high IQ guy

Ive been critical of Perry for over a year now and no one wanted to listen because he was the savior. Williams is THE guy, its just a matter of time. My $$ is on rosier v. LSU and Williams overtaking the reigns at some point throughout the season. We will win a ship w/ jarren in 2020
Yep. There was a reason I thought Shirreffs would be ahead of him last year. I was crucified here because I dared say the guy with few offers would be ahead of the savior. Williams, on the other hand, I see as a polished QB that came in ready. He's the future. He'll take the job, and it's only a matter of time. Perry is a sandlot legend. He's SUPER talented, but he's so **** raw he might not have enough years of eligibility to reach his potential.

He has 1 incompletion and it was a gorgeous 20 yard out to Harris that he dropped. He hit Cager for 30 or so to open up and at one point completed 4 in a row before the D stuffed Deejay and than sackwd him. What are you watching?

Ummmm i was there saw it first hand he missed harley wide open on one drive, over threw cager on another, he was the same rosier we saw at the end of the year, jarren impressed the **** out of me he was the best QB today

He was the best overall imo but Perry had a pretty good showing imo too. Saw a lot of things I liked

The Oline is bad man. A lot of times the plays broke down and Perry Extended the play and ran for first downs. He did a good job running when he had to. He also held the ball on some reads and ran with it.

Agreed, but to be fair Perry had multiple drops and Rosier was throwing underneath routes.
Exactly I told my buddy who wasn’t at the game don’t let the box score fool you. Offense looked more dynamic with Kosi and Williams. Malik gonna Malik he threw the worst fade to Cager I’ve ever seen. Still doesn’t know when to pull it and go on the read plays. I don’t want to see Malik out there anymore

He had issues reading the field at times but when he read right he was on, he and Williams were good at rolling out of the pocket when the pressure got to them

@Brooklyndee

I gotta ether some posters on here for the team, bro.

Look; I’m not that guy who looks and memorize all who negatively say things about certain recruits, so if this ain’t u, pls don’t take offense, BUT for the ones that did say something about Hightower, moving him to TE or proposing we should drop him.....F*CK U.

I’ve been telling ya’ll, STOP BEING ENAMORED BY 40 TIMES! Start paying attention to the 10 sec split, and quickness off the snap. Hightower used his size all season, and in camps and knows how to high point his catches. I called him another Herman Moore and I meant that. As a Bears fan, I vividly remember Moore just being uncoverable b/c he always used his frame to shield defenders in slot or just snatch the ball over them in 1-on-1 situations.

None should be surprised by his performance, IF u paid attention to him. He punks DBs; he did it in the Army Game, too.

Glad he’s rocking Orange and Green, and if Cager don’t learn to play like Hightower, use his size and feet to punk DBs, he’s getting his spot snatched.

Irvin jr with the garbage pass drop.

Help is on the way. Football not in his genes. He’ll earn a degree and hopefully be successful in something else. No shade; but u can tell the dog ain’t in him. If his last name wasn’t Irvin, there would be no discussion.

Rosier in

Gives it to Homer for 2yds
Malik - bootleg with Garvin and Willis in pursuit gets 4yds
Hook in slot for Harris 10yds -1st down
Throws it to the flat for Homer for 5
Comeback to Harley for 8yds and 1st down
Holding penalty on George Brown
2nd and 15 - Deep out to JT4 for 18 and a 1st down
Looked like t would have been a sack - but he missed Cager in end zone
Homer with an 8yd run
3rd and 2 - Pulls it and rolls out with Garvin in pursuit Irvin had to dive for the pass and couldn’t come up with it
4th and 2 - line up in 8 throws a bad fade throw to Cager - turnover on downs

Aw yes; this sounds about right. Rosier became the Grinch that stole Christmas. Lead us deep in the opposition’s territory ONLY to settle for a TOD, a TO, or FG. Go back and look at our games; we could’ve hung 40 on avg if our RZ offense was on point.

Said this about Hightower on 2/10: Hightower will play and play a lot. He is the most polished receiver we've gotten since AR. He might not have ARs natural talent - maybe he's close - but he is a technician. Watched him closely in what we could see of the AA practices and game, and I don't think he ever took a false step - no wasted motion at the line of scrimmage or in his routes. His game from the neck up is elite. Canes are going to love what he brings. He's going to be a nightmare to cover. Just got to get someone to get him the ball.
