No, a smart coach who is confident and not afraid of his own shadow does exactly what we did there. If Pitt doesn’t go full Mario and burn 30 seconds off the clock trying to get a play in we get the ball back before the half with about 50 seconds left and an opportunity to drive for a field goal.

They got yardage on the run and a really good punt. If we had the ball at midfield I could understand yall but we were inside our 30 plus we get the ball after the half. Pitt thrives off of turnovers, don’t let them back in. Come out after half, score to go up 3 scores.

I was more mad about giving up all the yardage on 3rd and a mile. They had to know it was gna be a run. Stop them quickly there and we probably get the ball around 40ish yard line

Absolutely insane how consistent this team is, though. 5.66 yards per play again, only 4 offensive possessions. But the defense is excellent, and we just slowly move down the field. The difference is, the last month, we’ve had way fewer empty possessions. We’re not shooting ourselves in the foot with penalties or turnovers that just kill drives.

Go give me 24-7 on this first drive out of the half and let’s run these mother****ers outta their building.
