Miami out for Michael Johnson JR?

That's why you recruit the kid who gave you the indication he wanted to be here from the jump. Now it's going to be hard to get him from clem**** university.

They didn't offer him because they didn't want him. He'll be available on the transfer market in 2 years anyway.

Nobody has recruited this dude harder than lil richt. And he still hasn't committed yet. How much more does he need to see or hear? At some point yall got to realize that maybe he just don't want to be here.

He was basically committed to Miami as of a day ago according to every Miami mod on every board. If we don’t land him it would be an absolute embarrassment. No team has come close to our coaches using as much time recruiting him and he is our one and only target. Usually the team that wants the kid the most and has a better situation wins out so I am holding out hope still

Ivins was never convinced he was coming here, and never put in a CB for Miami.

If you want unbiased info (he's a FAU grad who used to cover ND), just look at what he reports

The initial Wiltfong article doesn't say much cause Johnson probably told him he was going to Penn state and when he announces he will have quotes of why he chose Penn state. Very similar to what happened with jarren last year, as soon has he visited here wilftong put out a similar piece and then when jarren committed he had quotes and everything.

Staff went all out to get him, if he doesn’t come then it’s not from lack of effort on their part

they're our feeder school.

if jarren had already committed to auburn, we'd have been sol
Osu was on him hard.

If Lamar Jackson can play QB and dominate so can MJJ... being able to throw like an NFL starter isn't that big of deal in cfb especially right out of high school. I mean Brad Kaaya was the "prototype" a boring "cerebral" QB and he was trash.

I have no issue with play making athletes that may not be able to make all the throws accurately, but can throw that mfker 50 yards without trying, and also out run everybody if he wants to do some Mike Vick type shxt.
I like guys like Jarren. Can read defenses and deliver the ball accurately. But also can slice you with his legs if don't keep eyes on him. I think Tai is the same way and a much better QB than MJJ. All aboard for tai

Had he told Wiltfong he was going to PSU, you would see a cascade of CB’s from everyone. Didn’t he CB us before and if so doesn’t that mean he can’t pick us again? He may just be putting one in to not waste it.

On a side note its very interesting how MJJ fawned over Deonte Sheffield, his host (and a grayshirt who will never play there) at FSU.

Very interesting but explains a lot

Talked pretty positive of richt and his son too though

Since it’s still early relatively who would y’all turn to for qb wise this cycle ? If we miss on Johnson jr who would we turn to since there really is no sure fire elite qb prospect this class .. Do we try going under the radar with a recruit following the you have to take one qb a year rule and set up for 2020 ?

This is why you dont put your eggs in 1 basket.

Go offer the kid from Ocala and the QB from Carol City

a team with not one proven QB yet, but we don't need to take one this year.

We have a more proven QB than we did under Brad Kaaya.. no matter how below average he played you all still said he was a "proven" QB?? We cant have different lines drawn for each QB that wouldnt be "logical" right guys?

trying to catch programs like clemson, alabama, etc. they get elite qbs EVERY cycle. none of this wait until next year bs yall trying to spin
Alabama and clemson does not sign a elite qb every year. After clemson got watson they signed about two 3 star qbs.

You have to take a guy every year. I like Mauer. Also look out for guys committed to crappy schools who have big senior years like Jarren
