Miami O Line vs Indiana D Line

I keep saying this, Indiana played Old Dominion who they beat 27-14, Kennesaw St, and Indiana St OOC. Every other game the played, were Big Ten Games, except Bama. Other than Ohio and maybe visiting Eugene i am not that impressed. Yes some of their scores were eye opening but its usually when teams cannot stop them from run it they end up in easy scoring and go for the juggular. They are gonna, not unstoppable good. We cannot beat ourselves imo. We did it in our losses and almost v Ole Miss.

Indiana defensive scheme is simple. They are not built to absorb blocks. They are built to avoid them. They’re not playing old-school “read and react.” They’re playing attack football. Instead of Hold the point, shed, make the tackle, they’re coached to Shoot a gap, disrupt timing, and force a bounce or cutback.

The key will be if Indiana's front 7 are about that action. Gap-Scheme Football with Power, Counter, and Duo is coming. With Miami, they won't be able to slant and shot gaps because of our blocking scheme. Indiana will have to take on 320-lb linemen in the gap instead of running around blocks.

Duo is especially dangerous because it’s pure man-on-man with vertical double teams. No lateral flow. No finesse. Just displacement and late climbs to the second level. That neutralizes movement fronts and forces linebackers to step into real traffic. They will have to buckle up their chin traps and take on the Beef head up.

You need strength and depth to manage this, and I don't think they can withstand that for 4 quarters, unless we help them with stupid penalties and playcalls. Make them crash the run, and the hard PA over their heads. I know tOSU OL is mid, but their gameplan really sucked.

Yeah, and when they're out of their gap from playing that scheme then they'll get popped

Ole Miss does alot of that too and why we gashed them when we wanted. U shoot out the gap and we just going straight ahead.

Duo is how we beat Aggies, OSU and Ole Miss. Aggies slant D-Line heavy with poor run fits behind, OSUs first-round NT got anchored and bullied and Ole Miss tried to shoot gaps with late rotation, only to miss.

Nobody runs Duo as heavy and as well as we do. We averaged 15 yards a carry vs the Aggies on duo.

They keep talking about how disciplined they are and how they don't commit penalties.

They have several kids from Miami and just Florida overall that didn't get offered by UM and coming back home and playing the home team... bet one of them slip up. Sharpe, Ponds, Ferrell is from Lake City, Hardy is from Lakeland, obviously Mendoza.

They're from Florida... one of them is going to do something stupid.
Id guarantee it will not be Ponds… that dude is ******* dope tbh

you know this man? that's how we will play.
One thing that isn’t being discussed enough is the different types of teams we’ve beaten

I wanted UGA because we would mug them. Silver lining was Ole Miss gave us more preparation than UGA would have

It’s just confirmed that no matter what gets thrown at us if you can run the ball, dominate trenches, have some psychos on defense you will beat anyone in the playoffs

If OSU had half the line we have they would beat Indiana by double digits

Was glad to see some people that thought OSU was some elite juggernaut see what a mess their OL was when we manhandled them

Indiana is a great team but they haven’t seen anything like what we got in the trenches
Ah but according to my coworker indiana average age of players is 29 so we got no shot. They average around 23

Our entire team is built around moving people. They will have to withstand it for 60 minutes.
