Miami-Notre Dame game time announced

This is a much different team than the 2017 ND team that came to Hard Rock-This is a very talented extremely physical squad-

It’s going to be a very physical game in a steamy hot environment hopefully it favors us in crunch time.

Carr, just a freshman-We have to take advantage of that.

I assume they just doing outrage marketing.. Its the easiest ways to get clicks/views online nowadays.. He couldnt even keep a straight face with the bs..

I remember coming home and watching the replay after, the pregame interview when Brian Kelly was looking around and mentioning matching the energy and couldnt hear anything while also saying his team dont get distracted by 4 jumbo screens.. they were COOOOOKED.. Timestamp 9:43 mark

Although they do note it being loud earlier in the broadcast the impact it is having on the game starts to sink in around the 40 minute mark.

Yep!

Certainly the most drunk I’ve ever been in a game. I couldn’t speak for 2 days and my ears hurt big time, especially after the Bandy INT just before halftime.

But I haven’t been to the Orange bowl prior to 2003 so I can’t compare it to anything before then.

For me, the last ND game was the loudest game I’ve even been to.
Atmosphere is about the fans. And Miami fans are different than most fanbases. Certain people don’t like that about us.

(Edit: Pipo, the following rant is a general rant, not directed to you!)

I am just so sick of this crapping on us. And I wouldn’t care if so many of our own fans didn’t accept this bs on social media. Maybe it’s because social media skews younger, and many of those fans just don’t know? Not sure. But it’s insane to me.

Meanwhile, SEC stadiums like the Swamp are looked at as sooooo loud and mighty. I’ve been to dozens of games there over the years (grad degree from there), and it’s bull****. I took a friend who went to UWash to an SEC game and they left at halftime with the rest of the fans because of how boring it was. They laughed at the atmosphere. Meanwhile, I could barely do my presentation on the Monday after our 2013 game with the Gators at HRS because I lost my voice and had awful tinnitus, and that game was terrible and it was before the stadium reno.

NO one’s atmosphere and NO one’s stadium is lights out except for big rivalry games at night. NO ONE. If you think it is, then you need to turn off ESPN and visit some other stadiums. And we get ragged on for attendance despite ranking #27 in all of D1 last year, with one of the lowest undergrad populations. We beat out Oregon, Kentucky, FSU, and tons more of these large public schools. UCF has never once beaten us in attendance. NOT ONCE.

Sure, we could do better, but EVERYONE CAN. NO ONE IS SELLING OUT. Even Nebraska has been lying for YEARS about their sell-out streak! College stadiums around the country are reducing capacity and adding amenities to make their stadiums more like an NFL stadium because of market conditions.

But if anyone is actually outkicking their coverage, it is us. Do the math (or ask me if you don’t know where to get the data). Our attendance averages 5x our UG population. NO OTHER SCHOOL DOES THIS. NONE.

It’s simply a PR problem. Watch us get into the Big10 and the media will never, ever mention this again.

They were physical in 2017 also. They had Quentin Nelson and Mike mglinchey on the OL and Josh Adam’s was a decent back. Problem was Brandon wimbush was horrible for them. Don’t get me wrong this 2025 team is better than their 17 version

Your last that doesn’t really work though because if you’re undergrad is 30,000 you’re not gonna have a stadium that even has 150,000 capacity so I get what you’re saying but just also pointing out it doesn’t make sense. I mean Jesus UCF has 70,000 ******* students.

Sure it does. No one similar to our student population size does our attendance numbers. And the only private schools that beat us are Notre Dame and USC.

You are comparing us to these large public schools, and that is exactly my point. UCF has all those students and yet look at the size of their stadium. They even decided to reduce the capacity because they didn’t need it, and even in our bad years, we’ve still beaten them in attendance.

so as it stands ND is down:

1 OL (or is it 2?)
1 2nd (or) 3rd string RB
1 Depth piece TE

We are down (presumably)

1 WR
1 RB

they gonna have J Love in bubble wrap until 8/31, really hoping Fletcher/Jojo didnt sustain serious injuries…
