Miami Nights official

Can u explain how they “treated us poorly?” I keep hearing this parroted on this board w/ zero credibility.
The jerseys they made us from 2010-2015 were pretty much all horrible while they made sick jerseys for other schools and they got outbids by millions of dollars by both UA and Adidas when our contract with them ended and they had the right to match our next deal.

If you were a fan at the time you’ll probably remember hating most of the uniforms that were trotted out on game days

Nah, I didn’t, and the sales show the vast majority didn’t either. In fact, most of the Nike fan jerseys I see in the crowd as fans are from 2010-12.

Nike didn’t make sponsor us in 2015, that was Adidas. What other schools had “fire” jerseys during this time? Florida? Florida State? VA Tech? UVA? Bama? OSU?

So u think b/c Adidas outbid us = Nike treated us poorly? Lol. So does Nike treat Bama poorly, although Bama have been grossly more successful than us by a Mars Mile? B/c our “up front” was scheduled to be roughly $2m less/yr? So riddle me this; how did a brand like Nike treat us bad, when we were one of 6 schools ALWAYS used to debut their latest tech? Do u think unis r cheap?

Ya’ll be on some bull **** talking about Nike did this & that to us, when u don’t give af that Adidas has signed THREE UDub players to NIL deals, when we’ve been w/ Adidas longer. Where’s our players’ NIL deals? Ya’ll be like Adidas cut the check, & fail to EVER mention that after they cut the check, they immediately broke contract conditions in favor of UL.

U didn’t care for the designs Nike gave us? That’s fine & fair, but let’s not conflate the two. ****, I don’t care for a lot of Nike’s designs for the NBA & MLB’s City editions myself, but that means chit on “not caring.”

Lastly, let’s talk about how we were always used to debut Nike’s new tech for a minute; ummm, we currently have players rocking some jerseys w/ Adidas’ new logo while others r rocking the old logo. Lmao. Ummm, last check, Adidas came out w/ new tech in 2023:

-Texas A&M
-Washington
-Louisville
-ASU
-Nebraska
-NCSt

Those r the schools. Lol

So gtfoh about how “Nike treated us.” In only 8 yrs we’ve had to witness from Adidas:

1. Immediate Breach of Contract
2. Witness Adidas give FIU a special uniform called “Miami Nights” when they faced US at the site of the Old OB
3. Give us a recycled material jersey
4. Change our colors w pastel Orange & Aqua Green
5. Give us a Maze Football Jersey that was Cream & Forest Green
6. Give substantially bigger contracts w/ better conditions to UL, KU, TAMU, & UDub immediately
7. Not included in their 6

Yet, ya’ll mugs have the audacity to say Nike did us shady? Lol

Lastly, the reason y I hate our “Miami Nights” iteration for 2022, now debuting in 2023 is two fold:

1. It literally looks like a 7-11 sign &

2. ASU is getting a “Ghost Story” Uniform that looks, well

When Nike gave us the revamped Uniform set un 2014/2015, they set us up to look like a revolutionary, forward-looking program.

We were going to be very Oregon-esque. The galaxybrained Miami administration didn't take the newly designed white helmets or the gray helmets for whatever reason, leaving us to wear the standard, old school helmet with all these sleek, modern, cutting edge uniforms. It looked freaking terrible.

Then we went out and lost all those games under golden and donofrio wearing bastardized versions of Nikes well-designed uniforms.

I dont blame Nike for not anteing up at the time.

Finally! I was skeptical that they were gonna debut them this season, if at all. I was let down that they didn't wear last season. Made me wonder why they even bothered to do that reveal. But now that I know that they will be using them on Saturday, I'm pretty stoked to see them in action.

The uni's look so cool, they did a heck of a job with the neon look, which is perfect for Miami. One of my goals is to get a hat with the nights "U" logo.

Correct.

People love to bash some of the uni combos and forget that golden/players were the ones voting on the gameday fit. They also love to use the “old nike practice jerseys with faded numbers” reason, when iirc, blake james is the reason why the team didnt have new practice gear. Taking cash payment from nike instead of new things for the players…

Honestly, can we have one, just one, thread without the juvenile and sycophantic Nike **** riding. No offense, but seriously fellas.

Right now, Adidas is our provider, and this thread is about the Miami nights game and uniforms, which btw, the players, including Kam, seem pretty excited about.

Nobody knows what the future holds exactly with who our uniform provider is going to be in the future, or what’s going to happen. For all I know we stay with adidas for the next couple of years. Maybe longer. Don’t know. Don’t actually care, all I care about is that we negotiate effectively.

But again, this thread is about the Miami nights game of which the black uniforms are a part. Seems like a lot of people like them. Let’s just enjoy that and hope for a big win.

We looked like a G5 team.

Unfortunately you are asking for way too much from this forum.

This video is 9 years old. The materials used in these Nike uniforms are still light years ahead of adidas in 2023. How is that possible? I will never understand.
I own one of these Nike jerseys and the first version of the Miami Nights, they are both player issue/game worn. I can't believe the difference in material, quality, and construction. I usually buy a player issue jersey from each design "refresh," but it just isn't worth it for the Adidas silhouettes
