That first one :sanford:

Carter was horrible to be honest (I find zero joy in admitting so). He did get more comfortable as the season went on, but that's relative to what??? His entire career was baad angles, being caught looking into backfields, missed tackles, late hits, baseless trash talk, dropped INTs, and grabbing opponents around the waist causing embarrassing stalemates and waiting for teammates to come and assist before he loses his grip lol.

Now tell me I'm lying

carter was soooo horrible they invited him to the combine as a joke

Does his invite negate what we witnessed for 3 seasons? Nope. He deserves an opportunity considering he spent 3 years under Golden and D'No, they definitely stunted his growth.

Why are y'all asking what is Finley's deal? He's clearly talented and all of the defensive coaches have stated multiple times that Jamal carter was the biggest leader on the defense this year and was an enforcer. Yeah he had some bad plays this year but this was by far his best year. Overall it was the best safety play we have had in years.

Safeties still sucked this year. Calm down Broke.

Disagree, their tackling improvements was pivotal to our defense success this year

You don't have a defense ranked as highly as ours if your safeties suck. Just my $.02

You're not lying at all. He was below average at best. Why on earth he was our deep safety in 2 high coverage absolutely boggled my mind. He can't cover a bed with a blanket.

Regardless of the talent coming in...we need an major upgrade at the coaching position for our Safety spot. That guy is totally clueless.

I agree about Carter even though I'm not the bash a player type of fan, but the film doesn't lie. Did he have his best season ever as a Cane and improve to a somewhat decent level? Yes, but relative to absolute nothingness from that position.

Now his improvements have to be credited to Banda though, who obviously simplified the position along with Diaz for him (even though he probably shouldn't have played so much FS). Coaches did the best job U could do with him coming off of 3 seasons of being neutered savage under Golden and D'no.

Carter's playing time reflects just how talentless our safety recruiting and development has been previous to the new staff. Carter had to be a practice All-American.

Rayshawn was solid, carter made too many mistakes that cost us at times, thank god we have a beastly DB class coming in

Wow you are a prophet. No one else saw Delaney coming. Pete hire this man.

Island_Canes claims to be a chick. We're not sure what he/she/it is.

Guess we'll need he/she/it to report to the Y tomorrow morning. 5:30... sharpish.
.
I'll be there bright eyed and bushy tailed!!!

Just don't be shocked if he/she/it shows up in a leotard.

There is a fine line between leotard and singlet.

Was crazy high on Finley off the eye ball test alone, but was underwhelmed by his effort on special teams and his inability to command reps from Jamal Carter who was not very good at all. Hopefully he shows up big at safety this season or he'll finish as a LB for his junior and senior seasons.

Jamal Carter was a very solid SS for us last year... i would say above average.

carter was an abomination. Constantly out of position getting cross footed on simple option routes and half back passes. Fake news.

He was a bum for 4 years, sucks we didn't have anyone better

Not a nice way to talk about a CANE kid who gave it his all, kid had heart and soul, no he was not a great player nor was he developed properly think back to AJ Highsmith and Kacy Rodgers. Kid was and is a Cane your bashing him questions you as a purported Cane fan.

The past has a tendency to be remembered more fondly when reflecting than in reality. Despite your statement that he's a "kid who gave it his all, kid had heart and soul" does not diminish anyone's opposing opinion nor does it bring into question one's "fandom". Your statement is essentially identical, but with more socially justified phrasing.
