Hoping these are our starters:

CB Dean
CB Delaney
FS Johnson/Smith
SS Carter
NB Young/Bandy

Would let the remaining pieces fall where they may because the 2018 DB's will surpass Jackson, Redwine, Finley, Mayes, etc..

LOL Hilarious how ppl jump to these sort of conclusions. Redwine and Finley arent getting surpassed at all

Now that Pete co-signed, do you agree? LOL!!

Was crazy high on Finley off the eye ball test alone, but was underwhelmed by his effort on special teams and his inability to command reps from Jamal Carter who was not very good at all. Hopefully he shows up big at safety this season or he'll finish as a LB for his junior and senior seasons.

Jamal Carter was a very solid SS for us last year... i would say above average.

carter was an abomination. Constantly out of position getting cross footed on simple option routes and half back passes. Fake news.

You're going way too far. I love them both but Dallas Crawford and Highsmith were abominations. Carter was decent last year, I feel like he got more comfortable as the year went on.

I'd bet they will be passed. Especially Finley if he's not a LB by that time.

lol i disagree with Pete.... no way of knowing how these players are going to develop. Finley and Redwine are two talented players that have experience. If they get passed up by the 18 class then great but I see them heavily in the rotation regardless.

Carter was horrible to be honest (I find zero joy in admitting so). He did get more comfortable as the season went on, but that's relative to what??? His entire career was baad angles, being caught looking into backfields, missed tackles, late hits, baseless trash talk, dropped INTs, and grabbing opponents around the waist causing embarrassing stalemates and waiting for teammates to come and assist before he loses his grip lol.

Now tell me I'm lying

Still was trash, over the past two years most of the big plays against us was because he was playing out of position.

Jamal Carter was "constantly out of position" yet he led the team in tackles??

Go watch film for real, that half back pass was because he's dumb. He lost the notre dame game because he's dumb. That Pittsburgh touchdown off of that kickoff was because he's dumb.

Most of the big plays against us were bc of Jamal Carter guys??? lol do ppl on this site even watch football???

Knowles got reps over Finley at safety ....facts! And again I'm a Finley fan and still rooting for him.

Rodgers, Crawford and Highsmith had physical deficiencies. Carter's issues were between his ears. Lowest football IQ in Cane history lol!

When a kid constantly hits after the whistle and at irrelevant times and then gets super hyped about it, it's the truest sign of football retardation. I use this litmus test for the Muni team I help to coach. These types of players are super active so they'll have stats. The tackles that they make occur 20 yards from the line of scrimmage, but U right Krazy, they do make them.

Takes one to know one.

Jordan and Delaney...
"this is from a close friend, he believes Dee Delaney will commit this weekend. Either while on campus or within 24 hours after. Says the only reason he hasn't already is he's never been on campus. And that Brevin Jordan is a silent to Miami. Just a couple of things he mentioned while we were having dinner yesterday, leads me to believe what he is saying is true. FWIW"...
****************

This is fantastic news. Delaney can play and can bring some added experience and leadership to the DB room... GoCanes!

Wow you are a prophet. No one else saw Delaney coming. Pete hire this man.

Island_Canes claims to be a chick. We're not sure what he/she/it is.

Guess we'll need he/she/it to report to the Y tomorrow morning. 5:30... sharpish.
.
I'll be there bright eyed and bushy tailed!!!

Yes, your cousin (or whatever relation to him you are) Jamal wasn't very good mentally.

Rock definitely not the most instinctual player but hardly the reason for most the big plays we gave up last year. Gave up 2 40 yard runs as a team all year nothing over 60. And playing a much more aggressive defense we gave up less big plays on the back end as well. So while he's not all world the kid did his job as a safety period. Him and Jenkins bailed us out anytime Shaq or Mike wasn't on the field bc outside of Mike Smith our back up linebackers were trash and let everything rome free off play action leaving them in no mans land as a safety.

This is a gift from above should one believe in such. We really needed some depth, but we just didn't get depth, but a legitimate starter with NFL aspirations.

What's the contrast between attending the Citadel and UM? Gotta be light years.....
