A lot deeper than tackles though. Wes was rarely out of position, was an excellent blitzer, good in coverage etc. Not saying this kid can’t do that. But if he’s not playing Mike, needs more in his tool chest.

Lawd has yalls standards fallen... Not only am I seeing most of y'all thought wes was actually a **** good linebacker(when he was average at best)but now y'all crying over popo when he's an even slower poor man's version of wes. In the right system he can work. But his abilities are limited physically. It's time to embrace fast,physical,sideline to sideline backers. Wes played because of continuity. He wasn't a weakness and he knew the playbook. But why start over with a similar version of him who struggles with communication as well.

There is more athletic guys than him. It’s looking like Bonner might be in line for that wlb spot
I doubt that means anything, we know Wiley and Bonner r more athletic. Being in the right spot, diagnosing, and knowing your assignment will always be more important. Going into his senior year, Popo should be the guy next up. It’s not like he’s Ragone athletically.
If we’re a title contender and we have questions about our lb room you think other teams that aren’t contenders aren’t calling him saying you can come start here?
