The problem is that fans flip flop in between how things used to be and now. One minute they are happy because of the new changes and the next complaining because we aren’t doing things like 5 years ago. New game/ new rules.

That’s just a little confusing

If you want to make the league what other championship roster has such overall weak competition at LB? It was our biggest Achilles heel on defense by far. Toure is as much a 5th DL as he is a LB.

If guys like Chase Smith and a freshman, Bonner? If you can’t beat out that group what is going somewhere else gonna do for your NFL hopes?

The LBs were a weak spot up to and including the title game and he sees two PHD students coming back for their residency programs and says I either need to make money or bolt and make it while two players with platinum miles on the injury bus come back.

Room is thin overall. And what is left is a mash unit.
 
If he just wants to play ball, then seems opportunity is here. We’re losing Wes & bringing back Toure, but rest of the room is light on experience. Not sure how much more of an opportunity is needed, other than guarantee of starting job.

That’s why we never played Lyle. There was no playoff film for the scouts to review.

There are D3 players that make the league. If competition was the only thing that get you to the league those guys would never make it

You are right. Alot of people are failing to adapt to what the new stuff is. They wanna win, which means bringing in proven players to compliment the studs we got and suring up deficient positions or depth.

But they also want us to be patient with the homegrown players who alot of time are not ready or make critical mistakes that cost you games.

I think we have a balanced approach and its the best way to be.
