The entirety of the post in question is shown below, and is entirely a passive-aggressive Miami insult. You've had plenty of time to amend that post if you expressed yourself poorly. But you haven't done that. You've doubled and tripled down by claiming that the veiled insult is somehow "correct" or "factual". And that's what a troll does.

I don't care if you "put me on ignore", but my assessment of your post and subsequent "defenses" is completely fair and accurate. You are extending your time on the board with an ever-shifting "did I do that?" act, as if you can't comprehend what you meant with your first post.

Sure.

But 247 claims they meet every week to discuss the rankings.

Suddenly, they change his ranking around his commitment date? And did any other rating service observe these same struggles and rank him lower?

It's also possible that Ojo and Pepe were getting pushes from all the Texas/USC fans on 247. Gotta sell those subscriptions.

The timing IS hilarious, though.

Only some of the top coaches had Cantwell as the #1 priority on their boards and made the effort to travel to Nixa Missouri to show it too

Immediately the physicality stands out with Cantwell. He excels at both run and pass block, not only using his exceptional physical traits but also his mental abilities. He knows when and where to move and attack, and looks primed to be a superstar tackle at the next level. Watching his film, he's more developed as a run blocker just due to his ability to move through and get to the second line. But with that being said I feel the ceiling is higher in pass pro with his strength while the floor is higher in run protection, again with both being top of the class material.

A multisport athlete in track and field and basketball, Cantwell moves ridiculously well for his size. He has advanced footwork for his size and then uses his strength at the point of attack, a really nice combination that others lack.

As seen below the strength potential is limitless as he can be seen benching 500 pounds here.



And not only is he the number one 2026 football recruit, Cantwell is also the number one shot putter in the nation. And it’s no secret where Cantwell gets his freakish athletic traits from, as both his parents were Olympic throwers for the United States.

With the number one player in the nation being added to the best offensive line gurus in the business, who wouldn’t want to join that class? We’ll have to wait and see how this shakes up other key recruitments such as five-star Derrek Cooper, but for now Cantwell joins the 2026 O-line class of Ben Congdon, Joel Ervin, and JJ Sparks becoming Miami’s tenth commit in the class.

Make no mistake, this is a clear statement from both the staff and university. Miami went against the top teams while having to block out all the outside noise and got the job done, something all 'Canes fans should be excited about.

i'm not a talent evaluator ... but this kid is 16 years old ... i'll repeat, he's 16 ... it could go left, but short of playing and dominating at a feeder school (img, bishop gorman, etc) this is about is sure as it gets ...
