FTR, he has 10.5” hands and an 80+” wingspan. That’s top half of tackles at the combined. Not other worldly but certainly not small. I’d be much more worried about small wingspan/short arms than narrow shoulders.

That's a major major credit for Mario & Mirabal.

All the reports leading up to & during his visit to Georgia made it sound like he was already committed to UGA. So for M&M to pull this off is probably the biggest recruiting win of their tenure at Miami.

At least since beating Tennessee for Mauigoa.

I'd simply point out that I have no byline or podcast or website, and I'm not chasing any clout...and I NEVER changed my prediction either.

And you can check with three very fine posters on this board (and a fourth lurker), that I expressed OPTIMISM this morning on our group text.

It's not "slurping". I just looked at Jackson's comments about how much time and effort Miami had put into recruiting him, and that we had a great plan for his development. And then I factored in how Miami's NIL offer has ALWAYS been both higher and more LEGITIMATE in terms of being professional and corporate in its approach to marketing and NIL. And that we did not press for a late "visit" in order to offer illicit and/or more money. Or try to visit him in Missouri. We just called and talked it out like adults.

Plus, the OV High had worn off, and Jackson was able to think about why he silently committed to Miami in the first place WEEKS AGO. I know some people like to tell us that silent commits "don't mean anything", but it was a strong indication of how Jackson felt before UGa and Oregon made their last ditch efforts.

Congrats to Mario and everyone at UM for never blinking.

That's why once you put "guardrails" on NIL, it will only affect us in the net negative.

It's already started with the SEC homers. I remind them that Nick Saban retired once everyone could buy players.

Had a Tennessee and Georgia fan tell me Bama and Georgia players didn't go there for pay, because they went there to win. Then proceeded to tell me Miami paid just as many players if not more than the SEC schools.

This all started from a discussion that Saban should be involved in NIL regulation discussions, and I responded with Saban is great, but considering their history with paying players only to then try to prevent players from getting paid legally, it's not the best look.
