Miami lands another 2026 OL Prospect in Rhys Woodrow

The data has been posted several times. I'm not interested in fantasy.
But you haven't addressed what @skeeter said.

Mirabal has credibility because, with the exception of the 2022 transition year, his offensive lines consistently perform on the field. Those lines have featured a mix of elite NFL talents like Sewell and Mauigoa as well as three-star types.

I'd say this class fits into what Mirabal has usually worked with: a top-ranked tackle, some raw giants, and some tough interior guys.

He said "the data shows" whatever the **** that means. Literally nothing to respond to. The initial post said Mario was like Hartline with Oline evals. The actual data has been posted by @Rellyrell and @STG, and @CANESCANES that shows the reality of the evaluation prowess. Yes under the tutelage of Saban everything was glitter and gold. Who cares.
I won't pretend with you guys that we have some secret recipe. As much as everyone wants to call every 3* the next Cooper he is a fringe Day 3 guy after 3 years that still hasn't dominated on a football field. Of course you will now conflate arguments and tell me about the overall team results, but I'm commenting on the process of evaluating 3*.

Why wouldn't we point to team results?

When every one of his O-lines for like 7 years now Oregon and UM has had multiple 3* starters on it?

And you said "the data" in the first place… That's the data, junior

Fair enough. I concede there are no 3 stars in that list. My point was the guy knows how to build great college offensive lines and evaluate NFLers. I don't see how that changes from Bama to Oregon to Miami. You can make the argument it was Saban and access to better talent. But then Skeeter's evidence kicks in. Over a decade of great OL, by hook or by crook, is more than enough evidence to me.

I think a few things are missing

1. Yes we want too elite talent. We are getting our fair share. Especially on the OL.

2. 2015 is very different than 2025 with NIL and Portal. Changed the landscape. It also has changed the mentality of the player too. Let’s not forget.

3. Roster sizes are far larger so gonna need to fill in more with great talent that may not be 4 and 5 stars.

4. Guys like this are gonna be in the program growing for 3 years and turn into monsters. Stash these guys with strong development.

5. We aren’t Bama of 2007 to 2023. Or Georgia winning 2 NCs in last 5-6 years and been the dominant player of the last 7-8 years. We aren’t far behind but you gotta start somewhere.

6. Love this pickup.

That isn't data, where are the names clown?

I mean when you look at this kid, he has the physical look of a 5 star, with that being said oline is the 2nd toughest position to evaluate coming from the next level, that means a lot of 3 stars or below are going to be really underrated on the oline.

In regards to coooer hes an interior ol..and for the most oart they arent going day 1 off the back.

So most of them will be day 2 fringes or day 3 regardless

For a second I was going to say that you cannot be serious about having a Woodrow for that fatty but I know better.

Yeah it’s not like he recruited Frankie Tinlau who transferred to UTSA or whatever school he went to. People can call out meh pickups.
Frankie had a bad back injury, but was starting to look good after the injury. We over signed that year knowing at least one would transfer. I don’t look too much into where guys transfer to tell if they are going to be good players or not. The worst safety in school history just transferred to UGA 🤣

That's not the point. He has 0 college accolades, his PFF grades weren't good, and no real draft talk heading into the year. D$ has even admitted he was underwhelming last year. What are we praising? The fact that he has been a starter is the bare minimum scale. We don't need more players like Cooper he should be the absolute floor. The reality is he has been a JAG and I know that is a derogatory term to some, but the meaning is just a guy and nothing special.
