He pretty well burn the mother to the ground and built it up back up with proper infrastructure and "culture" and a mentality that football matters as part of the institution and I think with that and NIL money we get the right players that, yes we may lose a game, but its not losing the season.I agree. I’m not saying it’s been perfect or anything close to that. It’s just what’s the 1000 foot view rn? We can be rightfully frustrated but at the same time, we do have to give credit where it’s due.
I do think Mario has done a good job at identifying the issues and trying to address them quickly rather than sit on them. Which is an issue his last four predecessors didn’t do, whether that was keeps underperforming coaches, schemes, etc.
I do wish he’d just let go completely of the offense and trust his coordinator. But he’s shown he can get the right pieces for an absolutely elite offense and he can get the pieces for a very good defense. I think it’s clear that 10, maybe 11 wins will be his floor. With the occasional everything hits at once. I just don’t see him cratering to like 7-5, 8-4. That’s just my opinion until we leave the ACC.
I think it's being treated as a professional football institution, and I am crazy frustrated by the offense, but I am certainly happier then we were delighted to have a 9 win season with a blowout vs 1 to 3 teams a year and hoping just top be competitive in the conference.
