Miami is six days away from kicking off the 2026-27 College Football season. The Hurricanes will play away from home as their first game of the season versus the Stanford Cardinal. Unlike most college football teams, the Cardinal will already have a game under their belt heading into the game on Friday, as they matchup against Hawaii tonight.

As Mario Cristobal continues to prepare for the Cardinal, we are taking a final look at the spread ahead of Friday matchup. On the FanDuel Sportsbook app, Miami is a 23.5-point favorite over the Stanford Cardinal. The total is currently set at 48.5 points with the Hurricanes money line set at -4000.

As we wait for the Cardinal to kick off tonight, they will have a new head man at the helm as Tavita Pritchard comes back to his alma mater to coach the team for the 2026-27 college football season. Last weekend, he announced Davis Warren as the starting quarterback. Warren is a transfer from Michigan, where he started a couple of games and beat Ohio State during the 2024-25 season. He did not play last season due to a ACL injury.

Last season, the Hurricanes finished 11-5 against the spread and 2-2 as away favorites. On the other hand, Stanford went 5-7 against the spread and was decent as home underdogs at 4-1. These two teams clashed last season as the Hurricanes downed the Cardinal 42-7 inside Hard Rock Stadium. Stanford now gets its turn to host under the lights on Friday night.

Hawaii had them on the ropes. Acc refs gave Stanford two questionable touchdowns. We should stomp the **** out of Stanford.

Hawaii was playing with 'Walk on' WR talent, DL being held on every play with zero calls and still almost won. That QB Warren gets flustered whenever there is a hint of pressure.

The most noticeable thing for me watching our defense last year was how violent and swarming we were..Justin Scott and Moten should absolutely wreck olines this yr

Not that I saw Miami is on another level talent/depth wise, a lot of our third strings would start on Hawai’i

 

if we’ve become to the program we all want to be It shouldn’t matter if Stanfords played a game, or if they’re at home or in whatever time zone. You destroy a team like that and run them out of the building. Stanford shouldn’t get a touchdown.

I get that but Did you see anything from that game that makes you believe Miami won’t cover ? The ACC refs would have to pull the most obvious ***** job to keep this game close..I’d love to see how these sorry *** Stanford DBs are going to keep Mali, Barkate, Upshaw, Moore, & Mensah in check
