Miami in Good Shape for 5-Star Thomas

When y'all bois gon learn to trust AG?

Is he gonna have to pull the top CB in the country out from under UF's nose?
Is he gonna have to go across country to snag the best JUCO TE in the country?
Is he gonna have to go grab a stud athletic DE out of the tampa area?
Is he gonna have to yoke two VT Commits from under their tree?

Oh wait...

To earn real trust, he's going to have to exceed expectations in terms of wins...

...and then do it with relative consistency. That's just the way it works.

Everyone outside of Miami had us picked to finish next to last in the Coastal this year and to win 4 or 5 games. So, he's off to a good start in that respect too.

He's doing everything right up to this point. I'm a fan. But, to get that real "**** it, Golden likes him" trust, we'll need to see the plan come together. Like I've said countless times, maybe my favorite thing is that he has A plan (his own) and it'll either work or won't. We were going on a full decade without any plan.

So until "we" trust Golden, we should go off our amateur fan-based Internet YouTube evaluations and question his decisions because we know better?

How many times are you going to make this ******* post on this board?

Matthew Thomas says that #FSU coach Jimbo Fisher is the head coach he has the closest relationship with #UAGame

Also says #USC and #Miami are his childhood favorites programs. He'll be visiting USC on Jan. 18 and is planning a mid-week to UM #UAGame

I'll never feel confident that 6 is a Cane until NSD. Wish he would visit on the 18th with Olson, Collins n the rest of thoses boys.

Nole Sites?? It's a tweet from one of the ESPN guys at the UA game.

I don't want to get all 5X on anybody, but how can anyone doubt Thomas and Kirkland will be Canes? I became an awful, self-hating, and pessimistic Cane fan over the last few years, but when have we ever lost a battle for a BTW kid when Ice Harris is there?

It's nice to read/hear the latest on what recruits say (and those posts are appreciated) in interviews just to stay up to date, but it's pretty obvious Thomas and Kirlkland are "playing the game". When it comes to kids "playing the game", their public comments are about as meaningful as the school specific slippers they're wearing.

Basically my point is, if Thomas and Kirkland don't sign with Miami, I'll drink my own pee.

Lol Golden can beat out the top programs for OOS kids and yet people are worried about kids in our backyard.

I've never felt nervous at all about Thomas until I read the note about him wanting to take his mom to see FSU. I don't like the sound of that.

Came here to make this post. Reading the interview, it appears he's bringing his Mom there to get her blessing. Put me down as Thomas being a Nole unless his Mom beats him with a house shoe and makes him stay home. But I'm saying he inks with FSU.

Stay thirsty my friend.

That is a bit extreme Daniel.

My boy

Reminds me very much of the Brandon Harris recruitment. Kid was supposedly feeling Florida until mid-to-late January, then we learned that the kid was really never going to leave Miami, even if he thought about it for a minute.

I'm pretty sure this is just Ice Harris' way of garnering more attention for his kids (for this year and 2014), as none of his big-time prospects ever seem to commit anywhere early on.

This is kinda how I feel.

I can't see two high-profile BTW kids picking FSU. It would be like the top two prospects out of Lincoln picking Miami. Not happening.

It just doesn't make sense to me. If they're dead-set on leaving home for college, okay fine. Nothing you can do about that.

But other than that, I don't get it.

I think the big edge FSU had was our looming sanctions and they were further ahead in their rebuilding process, but both of those equations have changed. With the second bowl ban, I think that quelled some of the fear about how hard we're going to get hit, and FSU **** the bed with a supposed MNC roster. Next year they're going to be breaking in a new QB, and some key guys on defense. With the personnel we have coming back next year, I think we at the very least give them a scare in Trailerhassee.

In terms of sending guys to the league, 6 and Kirkland can get there wherever they go, but we've clearly sent more guys to the NFL, even during our downturn.

We'll see how it plays out, but I gotta think they're Canes.

Proves that they're serious players for him, I won't be overly concerned until I hear his mom has a new house in trailorhasse.

They've always been serious contenders and I've had a couple people tell me he gave their staff assurance he would go there back in the summer, but he has since backed off of those claims.
