Yep. The excuses this year for the defense fall apart when you see the success the horrible defenses have had stopping these passing offenses we have faced.

Clemson’s QB struggled to throw for 200 yards against Charleston Southern the next week after playing us.

Because we are outleveraged at the snap with alignments, give up free release after free release, and have a zone D that is Swiss cheese underneath (which all that teams like UNC, Clemson, SMU, UL can do)!

Defense is playing like ****, still up 3. Male the adjustments on defense and shut the ******* door.

There’s 1 adjustment to be made. We can’t get pressure and we’re blitzing and still not getting pressure and getting picked apart.

Only adjustment there is to make is drop 7 in coverage. They’re the worst explosive pass team in the country and Edwards isn’t a running threat. Wouldn’t even account for him with a spy and just start playing some cover 2 robber with Fitzgerald just sitting on those middle routes.

You MIGHT see a Tampa 2 with mo mugged in the A gap also responsible for the deep drop. Another great Heatherman special

I agree but Thats Heatherman’s defense though. He loves spot drop zones. It’s not going to change.

Yeah it’s just frustrating. The pass rush really covered up a lot last year. Heatherman may not be who I thought he was.
