Miami Hurricanes Roster Comparison 2026 vs 2025

I’m intrigued as to what the plans are for him. The size concerns are valid. This is after the Fletcher TD against OSU. He looks the same size as Fletcher…heck Fletcher looks slightly taller, SJ a bit thicker. Not sure that’s the frame for someone that is going to be our starting center down the line unless he miraculously grows over the next couple of years.

Fletcher is taller - he's listed at 6'2 which is pretty tall for a RB. SJ is shorter, maybe 6'0 at best, but yes much stockier.

Can a Center be effective at 6'0 280 in college football? If Mario and Mirabal think so, I'll go with them. I think there is one NFL Center who is under 6'0 so it certainly could be done at the college level.

Anyway, I think the plan is that RR is our starting Center. But given his injury history, SJ may very well be pushed into action.

Agreed. But it’s not necessarily his height that I’m concerned with (although I would prefer if he were 2-3 inches taller)…it’s more his weight. He legitimately looks 250lbs tops out there to me.

I'm amazed when I look at last year's roster and this year's, and see OJ and Scott are the lowest-ranking cornerbacks on the team. I can't take ratings seriously.

It's not just the weight. His frame is smallish for an OL. My guess is he has short arms as well. I love his athletic ability and motor but I don't know that Mario is willing to trot out a 6', 285-290 pound center in 2027.

Our roster is better in 2026 than it was in 2025. Will we make it as far? Well, who knows...but the roster top to bottom is better.

Much better quarterback.

RB room gets another year and will be at the height of their powers.

WR room is exponentially better...I was not that big of a fan of the WRs outside of Baby Jesus. Dece players, but really struggled to get separation.

TE can't be worse.

OL will take a step back early, but I think by year's end it will be just as good, it'll just be different. Less Wall of Mirabal, more movement, which should get us outside more. SJA, a topic in this thread, is the a worthwhile extra OL in our jumbo packages where his size, but ability to move will be more of an asset.

Front 7 won't have Bain and Mesidor, but tons of talent that could reproduce much of our statistical success. Expecting big jumps from lots of players here. This is what we've been building up to.

Replacing Keionte Scott and his impact on and off the field is the most important question on the entire team next year, but the room should better with another year in the system. We really got worn down by seasons end and depth was an issue late.

We can't possibly get worse at kicker.
