The first ever preseason coaches poll for the 2026-27 college football season has been released and the Miami Hurricanes are ranked as the nation’s No. 7 team in the land.



The Miami Hurricanes will enter their second consecutive season inside the top 10 in the Coaches Poll rankings. Football kicks off in 31 days for the first game of the season against Stanford in Stanford, California.

I believe Louisville is being underrated, they’re a 10-2 team playoff caliber team. Clemson will have a strong front 7 on defense, this will be our revamped offensive lines first real test imo. And I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Clemson beat LSU

Ok listen as a diehard Cane im not glazing OSU or anything I don’t like them, but they should have a better oline and Sayin is a good QB, that along with JS out there. Deep down inside I think we’re the best team in the nation, I just tried not to be too biased and put us at 3.

OSU had Treveyon Henderson Quinshon Judkns Jeremiah Smith JSN and Emeka Egbuka and did not blow the field away. Ryan Day almost ****ed that up. It will take multiple freshman studs to give them the firepower to even sniff that and the D this season is going to be much less than what it was when we ***** whipped them last season.

Id bet the under for OSU this season.

They beat TEMU when TEMU had already clinched a CFP spot at the end of the season. Arch is very whatever. People kept talking about how they were the best team to go 9-3 while in reality they could have easily been 7-5. I don’t get it.

Their performance against Indiana was absolutely laughable. If that’s Dante Moore against decent competition then I’m not quite understanding the hype surrounding him.

Any poll that doesnt have us in the preseason top 5 cannot be taken seriously. They are just going with the "safe" teams that they always go with in the top 5 knowing preseason polls dont matter anymore anyway and the coaches poll DEFINITELY doesnt matter.

Totally agree. Louisville can easily win this game and I really like their chances.

 

Indiana is a 10 win regular season team this year. Hoover is a downgrade big time.

They discount Ohio getting its a** handed to them by Indiana and miami and give them way too much credit, and Sayin, for beating bad Big Ten teams

Oregon got pushed around badly last season and hasnt shown they are at all physical enough. Same for Texas

OSU lost the three guys on their defense that actually were tone setters. I know they brought in John Walker but I didn't see any of the other young guys really flash the sort of ability that Downs Styles and McDonald brought. I expect them to step back unless they have a couple dudes on the D really emerge. I got em dropping 2 to 3 games this season.

I think the OL is going to be improved big time and I like their offense a ton. Also I think they’ll beat OSU week 2 catching the new defense early on before it’s settled.

Wonder when Lanning will start getting the same heat Mario and Franklin got for not achieving pre-season hype.

To be fair they have only lost to eventually natty winners last two seasons. The playoff losses for some reason were large defeats so you can question Lanning in those games but you can’t say much else.

By “lost” you mean obliterated
