So have I, which is y I’m very familiar w/ seedy wording in Adidas’ contracts, as well. Trae Young discovered this, when he found out he had performance escalators hidden as part of his compensation. ManU is now finding this out as they’ve struggled in UEFA. I told this board what would happen w/ us, & that came to fruition.

Adidas tend to offer more up front $$, but it has contingencies & hidden language, while Nike offers market value + incentives to increase value. Once the market is set & the value established, their contracts then become exponentially larger. Most athletes, both pro & amateur prefer Nike & it’s not even close.

I been thinking Pickett and Hanks in the same boat and would commit in season. But maybe that could change if they see what they want to see from the schools they narrowed down to. Seems like UGA is the comp for all 3 of our FL CBs. It be great to blank them here and finally turn the tide in those battles. I like UGA but im tired of them winning these critical battles v Us

Just like to say he also said AJ Hairston was “slept on” and something to the effect of going to be one of the best QBs in a few months, right after we offered.

He signed to UMASS…

  • Two current commits likely will be processed out if Miami has a good season and can recruit over them
  • High likelihood that two 5* will commit prior to the season (i.e. in the next couple of months)
  • Not sweating Solomon claiming he's solid w/F$U or UF gaining momentum w/Hanks. Mario's blueprint w/late flips is well known at this point


Jaboree "SlimeTo" Antoine

  • DSmiff has a lot of haters but he was instrumental in the decommit.
  • Miami in prime position

DB Class


  • NO ONE's DB class is safe since Mario is taking this personal. If Miami wants them, they'll flip or commit.
  • Pickett is the best prospect in this cycle
Dereon Coleman

  • First QB in the 26 class. But he has a LOT of developing to do

Jarquez Carter

  • We're getting a huge impact player in Carter

Flips

  • Mario is targeting 4-6 recruits to flip and will be relentless

  • Wants to be a Cane, unclear if he has a green light

  • Gator lean
  • Flo will revist in November (along w/Hanks and Thomas)

Chris "CJ" Ewald

  • Always had him as a Cane. Thinks he's coming to Miami, doesn't think he's picking UGA, but hasn't heard how his UGA visit went

If he could only had one of Hanks or Ewald, he's taking Hanks

Tarvos “Tj” Alford II

  • There are some non-football related issues in this recruitment, Miami monitoring

Zayden Walker

  • Miami is still actively recruiting him (Flo then compared/contrasted the Alford and Walker recruitments)

Solomon Thomas

  • Flo think's he's playing F$U, put no credence whatsoever that he's solid to F$U

For me this recruiting class, we need 2 of Slime, Hanks and Pickett. Get all 3 and u cooking with Grease.

If u wanna have a top 10 defense, and not just by stat where u punk overmatch teams then get shredded when the talent equal or worse like Manny used to do. Then u need CBs who can play man to man on the outside so u can stop the run and bracket the middle of the field.

Just reading this.

Guess why the German Football Association called DFB decided to make a controversial switch going to Nike?

Not only did Nike offer a ****load of money on an exclusive, which is uncommon for them, but Adidas tried to lowball negoiations based on "tradition".

DFB is in some financial trouble, not massive, but Adidas never paid out the last deal, as the team fell short in consecutive tournaments.
 
I don’t really like listening to podcasts but I gotta say I like Flo and his approach. He’s obviously pro Miami but he’s objective when he should be (from what I’ve heard)

His comments about Thomas and Hanks were spot on imo come December I think we have those two and Pickett. Push comes to shove Miami will do whatever it takes to land those guys
