UM will rarely, RARELY decline any halfway decent recruit comp. tickets on an unofficial visit.
Giorgio Newberry came to the Miami/FSU game a few years back decked out in FSU gear head to toe. He was allowed on the sidelines (per institutional/NCAA rules for up until 20 minutes before kickoff), and then sat in the UM recruit section and chopped it up with all of the other recruits, many of whom were UM commitments.
P.J. Williams did the same thing a few years ago - came to a UM game decked out in FSU gear and openly rooted against Miami in the recruiting section (I want to say it was the Miami/Ohio State game, but I may be wrong). He also brought in a pocket radio and listened to the FSU game with earbuds while sitting in the recruiting section.
It's not Miami's policy to burn bridges on the recruiting trail - both with prospects and coaches. Maybe under Shannon, but not now.
People may forget, but Tracy Howard came to a few games on unofficials during his recruitment when everyone thought he was a silent to UF. They thought it was a waste. It's amazing what a little face time with Hurlie Brown will do.
