They shouldn't be guests at all. If they want to come to the game, they can pay their way. They shouldn't get the same access and perks of Miami commits or Miami's uncommitted targets.

I´m all in with this concept of showing kids we really want the cold shoulder. Nothing says "I want you!" quite the same way as a measured "Fvck you."

He's got the potential to be, but he isn't refined at all. I would guarantee Carter would beat him out next year, not really sure on Jones. Lane is gonna have to learn to run the route tree.

I'm neutral on the Lane situation. I would love to have him, but I won't be heartbroken if he doesn't flip (which I don't think he will).
Coley was/is 5x the prospect at the same stage, IMO.

This. I havent been as impressed by Lane as most. Id put Coley way above him...and Griffin as well. I doubt he would crack our 2 deep for at least a year. Just my opinion...and I said it after The Opening.

I don't think we "need" either Lane or Cook. Staff probably "wants" them, so letting them come is continuing to recruit them. For me, their swamp scum now and therefore I don't give a crap. But, if Al wants to keep trying, it does make swamp scum staff continue to spend time on them to keep them aboard. They HAVE TO have Lane; if we flip him it cripples they whole plan to start "passing". If we can't flip him, well **** we will not even notice he is gone. Lane's problem is that the NFL will not even notice he is alive at U of Felons unless he gets arrested. As for Cook, I'm real good with Yearby--kid is an ankle breaker.
 
The funny thing is the Gator coaches are telling kids to go to the game since they can't give them tickets and watch up close how UM takes an *** kicking. That specifically came from their RB coach.
 
I would only invite the non-UM committed kids only if they are still actively speaking to the staff and accepting our phone calls. So guys like Cook I am okay with. You never know.

And that list is gonna grow to about 100 as gameday nears.

There's a lot of Lulz in this thread.

Some people need to take a step away from the ledge and realize that you can't flip a kid without visits, regardless if they're committed to your hated rival or not. This is how recruiting works.
 
let's clarify. that list will grow. but, there's the tickets UM offers to ALL or many of the local hs kids/teams to come and enjoy the home games. that's offered to many kids, even the kids not being recruited by UM or other major schools. then, there will be the lane's and cook's and other UM recruits who will get the treatment. and i'm not sure UM will offer hundreds of those "local" tickets for a sold out game like uf.
that list won't grow to 100 of kids actually being recruited by UM. minus the kids committed, UM isn't recruiting that many kids.
 
I wouldn't let Lane and Cook come, you can't have two gators there. Choose one, the more important recruit, Cook, and let him come. Lane can catch the game on ESPN.
 
lane and cook there aren't gonna affect the number of committed UM recruits who are there. i'm sure lane and cook, given their relationships with UM, would not burn a bridge like that by openly recruiting for uf or cheering for uf on UM's dime.

Of course they will be cheering for the team they are committed too. I'd hate to invite them if I was Golden, but I would. You can't flip a home town kid if you don't treat them right. Even if there is a 1% chance of flipping them, you invite them, 1% is better than 0%. IMO, this is by far the biggest game in 10 years, Miami needs to win this one. I'd tell the kids not to show up in Gator gear, you do you're not getting in the door. Bottom line, Miami needs to win this one, Just win baby!

I haven't been this excited about a Canes game since 2002! Lex is right, this feels like a program changer game. Just win baby!
