Miami fan raises $1.5K to fly 'Fire Al Golden' banner at VT

The more ineptitude draw to Golden the better. Until recently some of the national media thought Golden was doing a good job here. Now, you see articles pop up that have him squarely on the hot seat.

Some of the BOT may not care about football that much but they also don't want to be embarrassed constantly on national TV and in the media.


And for those that say the banner hurts recruiting. Playing ****** on national TV hurts recruiting. Listening to the embarrassing quotes out of our HC and DC hurts recruiting. A banner has no effect.

The faulty logic here is that you keep thinking you're drawing attention to Golden's ineptitude.

I've already supplied three or four articles that poke fun at us for this crap. I have seen no coverage that "brings attention to Golden's ineptitude." Please, for the love of god, show me such an article.

The only banner I donated to was the thank you banner last year for getting us through the NCAA mess. Even though I don't necessarily regret it, I think it was small minded of me. I guess I didn't see the big picture. Sad, ineffective support.

It starts small, like with a nationally syndicated publication writing an article to bring attention to how unhappy the fans are. Man i wish that would actually happen. Just living a dream i guess.

I can't stand the Dan Mullen slurping in the media and across this site these days. Is he a solid coach? Yes. Is he elite? No...at least not yet. He still has a lot to prove. Mullen's MSU teams have been average SEC teams since he arrived, only winning against other average SEC teams and weak non-conference opponents while almost always losing against any ranked SEC teams. This year, he finally gets a stud QB (Dak split time last year and was hurt a lot) and starts 13 Seniors/6 Juniors and he becomes the greatest coach ever? I guess Chizik was a great coach too b/c he had Cam. Look below. Before this year Mullen was 1-22 versus teams that finished the year ranked in the top 25. MSU was terrible before Mullen arrived and could make a HUGE splash this year, but does one year make a coach elite? If so, Larry Coker says Hi. Now if Mullen sustains it, then he can join the conversation with the others out there, but not until then.
