Miami fan raises $1.5K to fly 'Fire Al Golden' banner at VT

And all I did was give two examples.

Your two examples were a guy who is unemployed and desperate to coach anywhere and a guy who is so bad that even Washington State is tired of him. Yeah, I guess he WOULD be interested in the Miami job.

You claimed that South Florida talent is overrated. You know what, you are right. Oh wait, the NFL disagrees with you.

Last 21 years, champ. Join us here in the future. Why don't you run down the 2014 draft prospect database for me.

Here you go dumbass. Florida had the most players drafted by far including eight in the first round alone. Any other argument here champ?

Updated: Article updated on May 15, 2014. Draft picks from 2014 have been added. This now looks at the years 1993-2014.

Nailed it.

Antwan, still waiting for that list of schools who had great coaches "beating down" their door.

Oh, please tell me that you think you made a point. Let me spell it out. Instead of leaning on 1994, how about checking the recent trends.

LOL oh this post is so great! Look at the post above and tell me about recent trends. Pretty much the exact opposite of your argument.

Yeah, when you asked for the 2014 prospect database because you can't read like a normal person, that's actually not what you meant. Maybe you should be more precise in your writing.

Here's the "recent trends," you nitwit: 57 players drafted from South Florida in the last 3 years. But yep, South Florida talent is overrated. You're just wrong on that front, so let's move on to the next one.

Can you provide some examples of great coaches beating down the doors of other programs?

It's not even worth arguing with this guy at this point. I firmly believe he is Mark D'Onofrio. He will come up with some other bull**** stat while looking past every single other one that proves himself wrong.

It's an argument against flying a banner, yeah.

Look, we encounter this every **** time we look for a new coach. The media tee off on the fact that we've got a crappy fan base who doesn't show up for games, that we don't have an on-campus stadium, that our facilities can't match most other teams, etc. All flying a banner does is confirm the media opinion that UM fans suck.

Again, show me one positive media piece about it and I'll listen. Show me one positive outcome that has ever been directly related to flying a banner and I'll listen. Otherwise, you're the one with the ****ty argument.

And the media doesn't hire our coach. We do. We're using them to bring attention to a legit concern. Where will positive come? When they fire the coach and not before.

As for the fans showing up...this is a smaller private school. This is expected and we never had good attendance numbers. Get over it already. It is irrelevant as to whether our fans have a pulse or whether the banner is a good idea.

http://espn.go.com/blog/acc/post/_/id/67513/team-by-team-attendance-numbers

The only thing the banner does is bring attention to a concern. The concern is a legit concern because the product is terrible.

The most negative thing is the actually results in the games, the banner is nothing. Stop having a hissy fit because our 3rd straight coach is terrible. Stop *****ing about the banner and find something else.

The sad part is you care more about a banner then about the product.

Or you should learn to read writing that is above your white trash level. Either way.

Beating down doors? Would "applying" suffice? Because I can come up with many great coaches who threw their names in hats not called Miami.

Wish you idiots where as passionate about donating money to the university as you about some stupid banner.

The sad part is you really can't read.

I want Golden gone. I want to win again. Never said anything different. I just know that a banner is a stupid idea and does nothing but draw negative attention. That you and others can't see that fact is a sad statement.

Antwan is like a stupid version of the Terminator. He was already beat down to a pulp on this topic, but by God if he doesn't keep getting up and coming back for more. What about a simple "I was wrong?" Or does that require being too much of a man for you?

Will do, then I'll double back around and tell every NFL front office they got it wrong, the city of Miami should not be producing the most players in their league, and to drop everyone born here immediately. Thanks for the homework. I just hope I can warn them before it's too late.

When you join us here in the future, you will realize that the bulk of Miami-based NFL players came from here in the early 2000's. We can't recruit those people anymore.

I guess the last 3 years aren't recent enough? I must be crazy. Is this the future? What year is it!?!?

A simple "I was wrong" will work, thanks.

South Florida produces most NFL draftees in past three years

The South Florida area (Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties) has produced 57 NFL draft picks over the last three years, more than any metropolitan area in the nation, according to scout.com. Top players from this year's draft who come from the area include Minnesota Vikings first-round pick Teddy Bridgewater, Carolina Panthers first-rounder Kelvin Benjamin and St. Louis Rams second-rounder Lamarcus Joyner.

Oh, and not sure if anyone here forgot, but Miami interviewed Dan Mullen, who wanted this job. He was "too ****y" and they moved on from him.

Blame the morons conducting the searches, there's a bunch of hungry, young, talented coaches that would kill to prove themselves at Miami.

That's the funniest part about these idiots. No one supports Golden, but if you disagree with anything, then you are a Golden slurper. Very high-level thinking going on here.

Tell us about all the times that great coaches contacted other schools first.

Nobody on this page is talking about supporting Golden, but it's very Antwan of you to try to turn the conversation elsewhere after you end up looking like a fool for trying this South Florida **** again. "Recent trends" . . . lmao.

The Dan Mullen who was on the hot seat 10 months ago and finally has a senior/junior filled roster and a legit QB in year six? Same guy?

Yeah, Dan Mullen definitely wasn't a hot coaching name at the time or anything.
