You talking about when she wanted Barry Alvarez and the players picked Coker, or when she supported Willie Williams recruitment and enrollment?
Lol see what you did there. Conveniently leaving out the whole OB debacle.
Politics and all the other BS aside, if you think she was good for U Football that’s on you.
Because her tenure marks the beginning of an entire generation of not being Ship competitive, when being competitive required a show of willingness = significant $$$ by the Admin just as the usual suspects were ramping up their own willingness if you will.
That she and BoD decided not to follow suit is on them (Fuuckin took till CMR got here to build IPF and he even had to throw in $1M is just a simple example of the lack of willingness). That they tried to get by on the low with Football, while raising the Donna endowment fund is facts.
Who doesn’t want us to be an educational powerhouse?
But also being a P2 type sports institution is not mutually exclusive. Look up Michigan, ND, SC, and it hurts to say these next 3 even Tx, taint, and uga showing both can be accomplished.
I am of the very basic premise, that what is good for U Football will translate to increased PR/ interest/ admissions/revenue and ability to grow the U all around.
The leveraging of UHealth is a godsend, for real‼
Now it’s time we leverage the immense power of our local SoFlo market behind the U. I’m talking about the millions of fans who may never have attended but have been backing U Swag since Howard’s pipe got lit
Because it’s time to have Football maximize its ROI contribution so we can be P2 when the opportunity comes knocking. And if the thinking is, say 4 years, then bet your bottom dollar they already cooking the pie as we speak. Truthfully, by a lot of metrics we may be considered an outlier.
SO LIKE ALWAYS we got to show them WE THE U‼. Same old story, just a different
decade Century is all.
Go Canes‼
Edit: late night rant waiting on good news
