I'm sure things change now that numbers went to 105 but the few staffs I have been on/around the target number at WR was 7-9 on scholarship. 8 was ideal, 9 was max and only happened if we had to oversign because we lose 4 in this graduating class or we found 1 we loved and didn't want to drop anyone else (a +1 type recruit). Did not want to have 10 guys in that room.

FCS was less scholarships and we tried to have 7, or a max of 8 and didn't want to waste a number above that.

These were 3 WR base offenses. I'm sure it's different if you're consistently in 10 personnel or run a lot of empty. Miami doesn't and no one I've been around has either.

The only positions I've ever seen willingly recruited to be 3 deep are at RB and DL. We wanted 5-6 RBs on the roster and wanted at least 8 DEs and at least 8 DTs. Even on the OL the number was usually around 12-14 total for 5 positions.
NFL Teams keep 5-6 WRs with a 53 man roster and often have another couple on practice squad. With an 85 man roster 9-10 makes sense. With 105, 12 WRs should probably be the minimum.

Something like:
QB - 5 (2 HS yearly)
RB - 6-7 (2 HS yearly)
WR - 12-13 (4 HS yearly)
TE - 6 (1-2 HS yearly
OT - 8-9 (2 HS yearly)
IOL - 11 (2-3 HS yearly)
DT - 11 (3 HS yearly)
EDGE - 11 (3 HS yearly)
LB - 9 (2-3 HS yearly)
CB - 12 (3-4 HS yearly)
S - 7-8 (2-3 HS yearly)

I have sat through a lot of C squad (aka JV Squad, Lunch Muffs) in my day and in places much grimier than Tootsies. It builds character.
Absolutely. Weekday lunch shift, you get girls with missing limbs, ones that just gave birth, medical issues not seen since factory work of the early1900s. It toughens you up, like the old dungeon weight room.

True story - right after high school I got a job delivering for Subamania on US1 and 124th, right across the street from that strip club.. I think it was the Organ Grinder? At least one of the dancers would order every day. Not only did I get a free show every time I walked in with a delivery, they were the best tippers, not surprisingly. Good times.

Really?! That's a big surprise, cause those guys get A LOT of mileage on practice and off season training.

I'll defer to you on that, I figured 3-deep was what you would want, since 2-deep is your dress roster while the 3rd line in your scout teamers.

Maybe Taylor Edwards is pushing this and is doing the numbers game.
We carried 11 scholarship WR’s last year so I tend to side with you numbers wise. 7 is nowhere near enough

C-Sections scars and methheads.
Oh I’ve been in plenty of those battlefields but I was referring to a more “alternative” type strip club…
