I'm all for taking a guy like Gregory Smith, I get it…I think maybe one day he can start at UM. But it's no reason to say things like that.

There is a huge drop-off after Haulcey…This guy its a p4 all-conference player and likely NFL draft pick after this coming season. Yes there are "other options" at safety, but the position is truly "one position" depending on what is available right now.

Facts id rather just hear, not sure if we can pull this off. Then be fed lies that their are other options lol
 
D$’s comments cut so deep. I don’t know if he needs to be more coy than before because of the site’s relationship with the school or what. But his comments on all of the dudes the board seems interested in aren’t filled w/ rainbows and sunshine and that has really put a damper on this cycle.

For us I think you can make an argument Gregory Smith has a good chance to start if he progresses… Other than that, at this moment I can't see anyone that should be an average starting safety for UM. I may be wrong with though.

His paperwork might still be in progress (not Officially in the portal). I imagine one will get scheduled in the next day or two

Could just be trying a different approach to let everyone down because the "update" threads weren't received well.
 
With our needs and what is currently in the portal, AJ is the single biggest piece available. He is the only immediate difference maker for our needs right now. Simpson and Watson could help this D, but I guess we don't want to go their. The reason doesn't matter. Haulcy is the single biggest need I see, besides the WR we are waiting on, if he enters. Otherwise, Haulcy and Pena are must gets for me. Pena is iffy with his injury history, but we need a good proven WR.
