Miami Hurricanes Offer 2028 Four-Star LB Jay Schell, One of Nation's Top Linebackers
Miami is making moves early in the 2028 recruiting cycle, extending a scholarship offer to one of the top linebackers in the country.
On Thursday, Miami extended a scholarship offer to Jay Schell. A rising junior in the 2028 class, he's already 247Sports's tenth-ranked linebacker and the No. 152 overall player in the country.
Schell hails from Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School in Rabun Gap, Georgia, about 2 hours northeast of Atlanta. As a sophomore, the 6-foot-3 athlete racked up 77 tackles, 14 TFL, and 3 sacks.
This summer will likely be a busy one for the young linebacker. This is the ideal time for him to work out with coaches at camps before he narrows his list of schools. There are currently more than three dozen who have extended scholarships, and his list of suitors includes big-name schools like LSU, Kentucky, Michigan, Oklahoma, Indiana, Florida, Auburn, and Georgia.
