New Miami Hurricanes defensive tackle transfer Jarquez Carter spoke with the media father Tuesday's No. 9 practice.

Here is everything he had to say about adjusting to the Miami life, on what its been like working with the defensive line, and more:

Q: How has Miami treated you so far?

Everything has been great. Adjusting, it's been great. I'm from down here, so the heat is not a problem to me.

First of all, I didn’t do anything. It wasn’t my post you were responding to regarding DL depth.

Second, Scroggins is the same class as Lowe.

Third, yeah it’s spring, but if you are consistently unavailable for personal reasons and Mario is a bit cryptic about it, you can’t rely on him being available. Has nothing to do with his talent.

we all follow this program as closely as one can. When you hear things like what is being said about Lowe the historical evidence shows the chance of bouncing back and becoming a major contributor are slim.

Hope he breaks that historical trend

I'm on the board quite a bit and have totally missed this. Quite disappointing.

Your argument is Mario is holding out a 5-star, who missed his entire freshman season with an injury, so other guys get reps? THAT is what you’re going with as the most reasonable explanation? Scroggins actually played last year and showed something. Lowe should be hungry to both outplay his comp and prove he’s healthy. He’d be at best 4th on the DE depth chart right now behind Wilson, Lightfoot, and Blount. The fact he is not out there is a concern.

Who said holding out? Tf are you reading. I was referring to mario saying he needs to bring it every rep. And lowe would have played alot he just got injured, I don’t think its a concern they said its actual personal stuff going on. So until its an actual legit reason to worry idk why anyone would

Very salient point— I’ve had conversations with fellow canes fans and this one has hair on it- yes, cryptic…

I kinda feel like water seeks its own level-
There’s obviously more to his story but those are guys we used to depend on and pray would come through— we’re out of that phase—

we will cut and run or just not play him if he’s a misfit and he can portal if he wants there will be 1-3 other guys scratching & clawing to get that shot he had….

My ******* also has hair on it, but it's not cryptic. It's just old and saggy.....and sometimes wet from when they hit the toilet water. It happens when you get older. So yeah, water does seek it's own level, so to speak.
