Miami comes in as the favorite versus Florida

Those ******* chodes.

The thumbnail picture of Andy Staples makes him look like a wax museum rendition of Ron DeSantis if the sculptor added an AIDS diagnosis.

Ari Wasserman looks like Chaz Bono got a TBI.

Edited to add: now that I've watched the video in its entirety, I commend Andy and Ari for their thoughtful analysis and sober, intellectual discussion of the game and its implications.

I am going to watch the game film of LSU around dinner time tonight. UF played USF tough on D as well. Not as well as us, but well. The most points LSU has scored this season is 23 points against LA Tech. The most rushing yards they have had was also against Tech, 128. That's terrible so no wonder Kelly got so upset with media. So LSU's offense is awful. LSU lost its best player Weeks at the beginning of this game and his brother.

I didn't watch the UF/LSU game but reading about realize how bad LSU's offense is.

They had a pick 6 that game.

So only scored 13 points and had 322 yards of offense.

It's even worse when you realize 116 of those yards came on 2 plays.

For reference, USF had 391 yards of offense on UF.

Gators are fully capable every year of looking like dog cr*p, and then pulling some upsets... IDK how bad the locker room is for them right now, but it's a game that they could mentally use as the season bounce back game...

with that said... I don't think Mario allows the team to sleep on them and I think he enjoys crushing the Turds, so I'm hoping for a similar thrashing to last year.... their fans don't even wanna make the trip....

The Gators are way better than most Miami fans and the country think. Napier is the reason they can't consistently win but they flash. I said it in another thread, Lagway threw 5 INT's and the Gators were still in a position to have a chance against the #3 team in the country. They hung with and even beat a lot of good teams last year. Beck struggled against them. They have this knack to keep games close.

DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS TEAM.

Miami can’t take them lightly, their defense is still pretty good the DT getting hurt is a huge hit for them though. I get Lagway has the yips but we still need to be on our A game.
Is the DT confirmed out for our game? If we can run the ball inside against them, they are screwed. Their run defense has been great, 3rd in the nation in EPA/rush allowed.

How do you come to that conclusion? They beat LIU and lost the next two games they played. I'd love to know where you're drawing your confidence in UF from?

The UF-LSU game was the outlier of the week relative to the team's success rate. When you throw 5 INTS and get points taken off the board cause of penalties, you tend to lose. They have a very good run defense so far this year too.

I can see them keeping it close for a while if they limit Lagway's chances of throwing picks and just run Baugh and Lagway at us a bunch. If it's close for 2-3 quarters, I like Carson and our pass catchers against their secondary to be the difference.

Who’s the backup if Lagway can’t go?
Billy already said he’s sticking with Lagway.

But Harrison Bailey and Aiden Warner are the backups. Oh, you haven’t heard of them? Bailey has made rounds at ~four schools prior to UF (Louisville was one), and we saw Bailey in some action last year when both Mertz and Lagway were injured. He transferred to UF after previously being a walk-on at Yale.

LSU’s offense is awful, yes, but UF did not play USF tough on D. I just posted about this in the Gator tears thread a few minutes ago, but USF’s defense actually did better than UF’s defense. Look at the stats:

I’ve watched every single Gator game for as long as I can remember. Going back 20+ years.

I am even more confident that we will win this game than I was that we were going to win last year’s game. And I was pretty **** confident last year.

I will move this line to probably 13 and take Miami. After what I saw Saturday, I can envision another 41-10 beating.

Another way to put it is that the "#3 team in the country" barely escaped UF and Clemson, two of the country's biggest disappointments.
