Last Thursday, Miami Hurricanes defensive lineman coach Damione Lewis checked in with four-star defensive lineman Xavier Muhammad out of South Houston, (TX).

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction machine, the Miami Hurricanes hold a 24.2% chance to land the Texas stud.
The South Houston High School defensive lineman standout is the No. 138 overall player in the 2027 247Sports Composite Rankings. Muhammad is the No. 18 overall player in Texas.
Muhammad has been recruited highly by many top power-five schools in the College Football world. Muhammad currently holds over 21 total offers; Miami, Arizona State, Vanderbilt, Houston, TCU, Notre Dame, Michigan, Iowa, Kentucky, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, among others.
Muhammad recently checked out Arizona State and Vanderbilt. Starting next month, Muhammad is set to visit Stanford (May 22), Houston (May 28), Miami (June 5), TCU (June 11), and Michigan (June 19).
According to 247Sports, the 6-foot-4, 225-pound defensive lineman is set to make his commitment on July 3rd. The Hurricanes have some momentum on the trail. We will find out soon if that turns into a commit for Xavier.
