Miami at 300-1 to win next year’s Natty

Alabama was the only one that looked semi-tempting. 6/1 on them is the highest I remember over the past decade.

Futures odds can generally be doubled and still not be a take. We used to laugh like **** while setting those odds, given the absurd percentage of house take. When somebody makes a large wager to drop a team down, other teams are not adjusted upward even though they should be. Only the most reputable joints move numbers up as well as down.

Alabama is 9/2 now.

LSU at 30/1 is kind of tempting. That’s really low odds for a defending champion. With that being said, I definitely understand why people still don’t believe in Orgeron, especially now that he’s lost his QB and both coordinators. Have they hired a new OC yet?

Honestly, I probably wouldn't have been willing to place money on Miami at 30,000/1. Which would be what? +3,000,000?
+30000 moneyline equals 300/1. That was what OP said it started at. Its +10000 now. Moneylines are based on what a $100 bet would pay.

And yeah, I'd throw $50 on that for a $15k return even though the odds of that hitting are slim to nil.

lets win the coastal 2-3 years in a row AND THEN MAYBE WE CAN CONSIDER A TITLE RUN. Gotta run before you walk and we have been crawling for 20 years.

Knowledge can ruin a lot of things. I use to be VP of insurance company that specialized in amusement risk. Could never let my kids on a ride again. I would be -- no we had a kid throw from one like that - no had guy break neck on that, no, that wrecks knees to often ....... I love gambling, so I try to limit my learning so I can continue to enjoy it but that is good info.
