We have confirmed through a source that Miami defensive backs coach Travaris Robinson is a candidate for Alabama's cornerbacks coach opening. That same source confirmed he has been offered the job. Robinson is expected to talk to Mario Cristobal about his role at Miami, and it's our understanding that an official decision has not been made yet.

It's a better job, of course he'd go. He'll be able to put pressure on Cristobal for a DC job now or bolt.

Ha. Being a DB coach under Saban is like being an OC or DC under a head coach that calls all the plays. If he wants to go pick on the Saban Plantation, ***** him.

On Facebook the canesville X guys or whoever they are. Not gonna go back and search it, stated that Mario did not offer anyone a Coordinator position yet and said when he does they'd let Cane's fans know. I'll defer to @Brooklyndee and @Cribby as they would know better.

No part of t-rob is pressure to Mario and you assume staff isn't aware of what's going on if they've already been informed they are staff we want to retain.

IMO, This is not actually a sign he is leaving. Sounds like he will use as leverage to up his pay and role on defense here. He could have already told Saban yes if he wanted. If Mario gives him a co-dc title along w/ coaching dbs along with a pay bump this should be able to keep him over bama cb coach role. If he wants to also call the defense then I say let him go.

No part of t-rob is pressure to Mario and you assume staff isn't aware of what's going on if they've already been informed they are staff we want to retain.

So Lashlee didn’t have any say on who he was working with when he came here?

Mandy was very hands on with defense while completely hands off with offense. He also had few previous coaching relationships. Lashlee chose his own staff. It honestly can go either way. Most coordinators atleast have input when it relates to staff on their units.

We will have a co-oc that will probably coach qbs and call plays. Same could be done on defense if Mario thinks it is worth keeping TRob.

Mario obviously doesn't mind all this inaccurate info being out. I have never heard of announcements being handled like this.
