Mesidor is not hurt

He obviously got held on that TD run and Toure took a ****** angle! Should have scraped and played the boom! But Toure had 10 tackles and a sack after not appearing on the stat sheet last week. He MUST be in the box and have Bassainthe and others playing outside. He’s best going forward
He also got held on a 4th down that they made.

How did Moten play this game? Anyone pay attention to him?
I know the family well. He’s a great kid.

Is the jury in on Blount? Just quality depth but not the world-beater many thought?
What's with all of the butt-hurt Blount fans? The guy came in with a ton of hype; some claiming he was a generational talent. It's year 3 for him, right? I can't ask about his prospects? 🙄

Man I’m horrible at noticing details jacked up on adrenaline during games. Glad to hear it though

I saw him get penetration on multiple plays, make tackles and hustling his *** downfield on that big run. ESPN didn’t credit him with tackles but he was in on a handful and initiated at least a couple. Kid has a great first step and a really high motor. He’s going to start getting noticed IMO.

Mesidor and Bain are the best pair of DE we've had in 20 years.
Only 20? Maybe ever and I'm serious. They are way better than McDougle and Andrew Williams IMO (McDougle was close to Mesidor, but Bain is unblockable--the most physically-gifted end I've ever seen at Miami).

The closest pair I saw was Pata and Atkins with Calais Campbell rotating in, but these two are on another level.

So he's a causality of our depth? Just thought with all the fanfare he came in with, that he was going to be one of those guys that makes you start him sooner rather than later. U are correct though, it is a great problem to have.
You want him starting over Bain or Messidor? Lol

You're right; it's a great problem to have. We lose two studs and we have two more waiting in the wings with Bryant and Pickett chomping at their heels. Oh, we also have Hayden Lowe coming back next year adding depth.

I think back to like 2017 and we were all excited but deep down we knew it wasn't sustainable because the guys making plays would eventually leave and we didn't know who would carry the torch. That doesn't seem to be the case moving forward

Ayy I ain't about calling someone out and stupid receipts. But **** yeah. Respect.

The two of em together are beasts. And they both are complete ends. They dont just rush the passer or set the edge.

In fairness to you very few come back from injury and raise their game to an elite level. Hes been worth every penny and he will be for an NFL team
Mesidor needs to do better setting the edge on runs to be considered on par with Bain but he’s been excellent on passing downs rushing the QB

I don't "want" anything. Just inquiring because I don't hear his name called much during games. Based on what many were saying about him as a 5-star recruit, I thought he might be a Bain-like talent... or at least starting by his 3rd year. I have no skin in the game one way or another.

Year 2 buddy, technically year 1 since he graduated a year early

Next year he's going to be a national name. Right now he's playing various spots along the DL and backing up two future NFL DEs.

He may not be as powerful as Bain but he might more athletic - it's a good problem to have (next year it's Lightfoot and Blount at the edge with Scott and who? to round out the front 4)
Next year it will be Blount and Lowe at the edge with Lightfoot, McConathy, Scroggins and Pickett as depth plus whatever true freshmen studs we get to come in. We will augment that with portal. At DT we have Scott and Moten back with Simpson, Jones and Newton plus freshmen plus portal.

Blount is a beast. He’s only being played on 3rd and 4th downs. Every snap played with Blount in on 3rd & 4th down is a stop.

He’s only a sophomore.

Mesidor doesn't have Bain's all-around skill set; but if we're strictly talking getting to the QB, he's been just as good if not better these first few games. (To be fair to Bain he likely sees extra protection attention)

Ok. Fair enough. Some people characterized him as a generational, instant impact type player. Even with his reclassification, he was ranked the #21 overall recruit in the country. Was just curious what his current status is.

I don't know why people get so defensive. I'm not the one who hyped him.
