Mensah better than Carr

The CJ Carr glazing is starting to remind me of the Lagway garbage. They are hyping him up so much but I don’t see what they are trying to make everyone believe. I think Mensah is levels above Carr at least at this point. Numbers don’t lie, even on a much worse team with similar schedule. Mensah was elite. Carr was a game manager I guess.

I do agree that he’s getting a tad overhyped, but Carr is way better than Lagway. It’s not even close. When we played them, I honestly thought Carr was NDs best player. He’s definitely a top 10 QB

I see a very good qb. I don’t see some heisman caliber difference maker

CJ Carr is a good QB, what were Mensah’s numbers year at Tulane? They had pretty close to identical numbers.

Should see a good jump for Carr, I don’t see heisman hype but he’s good. It’s ok to recognize this.

It's almost a silly question. Mensah is one of the top QBs in the country playing with one of the top receivers in the country, along with everything else this offense affords. The margin of offensive production, if it even exists, between Mensah in this situation and anybody else that could be better is likely very, very slim. That being said, I don't think sophomore CJ Carr at Notre Dame is going to be better than junior Mensah on this Miami team.

My hot take, which may not be that much of a hot take, is that this offense is going to be more productive than the offense was under Cam.

I'm not sure why you guys think so lowly of Carr. He is a **** of a QB that can scramble, he's big, and has an excellent arm. If he stays healthy he'll be at the Downtown Athletic club someday for a presentation. Yes, I know we all can't stand ND but the kid has the goods period.
Its CIS. Everyone has an opinion. I dont like ND either but I agree with you.

If Carr turns out to be that good, Miami should pay him enough to get him to transfer here after Mensah’s one year rental contract expires.

Carr is almost guaranteed to go pro. He’s got every measurable the NFL wants and he’ll have the games. He missed almost his entire freshman season. Kid is an elite QB. Mensah is also an elite QB. Hard to say who will be better in 2026 or on 11/7.

He’s good. But I don’t think he’s better than Mensah. It will be proven this year. You can bet that

Yeah no debate from me that he’s top 10. But he’s more of a game manager. Mensah is more of a qb that’s going to light it up and probably put up video game numbers this year

Problem is ND ... any decent player for ND gets hyped like they are the best to ever play. Just like ND is over rated virtually every season.
