He was one of my top 3 candidates to get the job after Richt stepped down.

He's an offensive guru & has made every QB he's coached looked better than they are, even when he was OC at AZ St he had Taylor Kelly throwing for 3,365yds 28TD's & 12INT's with them winning back to back 10 win seasons. Plus had Riley Ferguson at Memphis pass for 3,698yds 32TD's 10INT's his Junior year & throw for 4,257yds 38TD's & 9INT's his Senior year. **** his offense even had Darrell Henderson rush for over 1,900yds & 19TD's last season & was 2nd in the nation in runshing.

What he's done at Memphis this early in his career has been nothing short of impressive, especially considering Memphis doesn't spend a dime on football, the majority of their recruiting budget is allocated to their Basketball program.

That whole team is filled with under the radar 3-stars & JUCO/GT transfer kids, they win with pace & scheme all day.

So who is the best than?
The pac-12 has lost 2 games to G5 teams already. They are certainly not the best.
The big 12 has OU and Texas as good teams.
ACC has Clemson and the 5th best SEC team beat the second best ACC team.

The big 10 is the only team you could possibly say is close, but even they are not nearly as good.

The SEC has 11 teams in ESPNs top 20 FPI.
