I don't know about fat and out of shape but he definitely doesn't look as explosive. He may have pulled a Yearby from last year and added to much muscle. Or it's possible he's looking forward to the pay check next year. He for sure isn't the same as he was last year.

Kid was way overrated from the jump. He's been running 10 yards untouched most of his career and get's unbelievable hype. Duke Johnson, Mark Walton & Travis Homer are all better FB players than him. Credit to Jimbo as a coordinator because there's a reason he puts up numbers and they win games, but they're typically undisciplined in they way they dig themselves early holes. I didn't see the game, but posters are right in saying this was won by coaches.
 
What's great is that behind Francois, they don't have many decent options. The kid from Cali is ok but there's already rumblings that he's disappointing. Meanwhile, we are stocking the shelves with guys like captain jack, perry, and weldon. Could be a great oppty for richt and company to kill it on the field and in recruiting. Personally, I think jumbo is a sinking ship and I hope he stays for another 4-5 years
 
and they have their little showtime show to make sure they can't put it behind them, it will be on national cable tv for all to see

Come on man. Any RB that gains a ton of yards is running untouched for a bunch of them. Duke didn't drag a bunch of defenders for 1,600 yards. I don't know what's up with cook, but I find it hard to believe that he's suddenly not that good. Last year it was a disaster that we didn't have him, now he'd be 3rd string on our team. That's quite a turn around.

The more the season plays out, I think if he does bolt, he'll end up at Auburn before LSU.

LSU is in a weird place financially right now. They have the stacks through their boosters, no doubt, but as they say, appearance is everything. Les will be back at least one more season for sure.

I don't think he's a sinking ship as much as a bob stoops level coach. He'll always have FSU in the mix but once they play an elite Xs and Os coach then Jimbo can't keep up. It's why he gets torched by the likes of Herman, Petrino, etc.

His offensive evals need to improve. Their WRs are not impressive. Their Oline seem to have problems and overall they just seem stale on that side of the ball.

Wouldn't be surprised to see their DC get the boot after this year. They'd probably go after Charlie strong if he's available. They went from Stoops to Priuitt to their current *** clown. Huge drop off from the first two. They hahve the talent on defense it's the coaching that's terrible.

Dumbest post yet. Hate Cook for being a Nole but he's the best running back in college football. He's playing hurt right now causing him to play soft. No pity though.

The loss yesterday is the culmination of a slow and steady decline over the last 3 years. We're getting worst. Not better. Our mistakes are getting magnified and highlighted. Not cleaned up. Our scheme especially on defense is now being attacked, not improved upon. Teams see the game tape from games like Oregon, Houston, Louisville, the first half of the Ole Miss game, the first half of the Miami game 2 years ago, etc. They know how to absolutely pick apart Kelly's ridiculous, vanilla, predictable, and misaligned defense. They know we run a scheme which forces our ends to pinch on option while asking our linebackers to read dive and then flow to the outside while being blocked. Unheard of. They know we run ZERO creative blitz packages. They know our only standard blitz package is to bring a corner and roll the safety over top. They know we are possibly the worst zone defense in FBS. We get lost on crossing routes. We can't cover the seam. We can't cover the hook curl. They know we are not taught how to properly cover trips. They know we do not know how to switch on crossing routes. They know we run some weird confusing mix of zone and man on the same side of the field. They know how to beat us. Our scheme is broken and terrible. We will continue to decline until a change is made. Stubborn type A coaches though have a hard time accepting reality.

Manny Diaz ***** envy:
CCDray....their defense has three freshman linebackers, new starters up front and their secondary has nowhere near FSU talent level and they are playing at a high level...and with a ton of energy. Manny is a very good coach who went to a terrible situation at Texas. Jimbo interviewed him for the job at FSU one time....or they at least spoke.

I remember when we were there, I was depressed.....It's a tough dig. It has been a long slog back.

They've had their LSU moment. They are still 3 -5 years away from their Clemson moment.

Meanwhile the Canes win at least 1 ring.

I couldn't be happier!

they have Greg Schiano at DC and hes a good defensive coach who knows how to put his players in position to succeed
as much as i hate Urbs he expects success from his team and shows passion. Jimbo shows fire but is pushing too hard or not hard enough. im not sure which

Realistic thoughts on this game? Quentin Flowers athleticism worries me a bit. Their WR's are solid and if Marlon Mack is back he is also good. Don't know a ton about their defense but I would imagine our skill players are better than theirs. Feel free to chime in Newberg.

I'm shocked at how people aren't worried for this game after our display yesterday. We're talking hypotheticals, well if we beat Clemson and UL loses. LOL with the team we saw yesterday, we will get our doors blown off by USF. And he is an athletic QB on top of that.

I agree, he benefited tremendously off of Al Golden being a **** coach and recruiter. My fear is that if he leaves to LSU, does fsu hire Herman? I think he's the next good one.
 
When FSU fires Jimbo, I hope Canes fans in Florida make a lot of noise about how obscene it is for a state with no money to pay a football coach at a public university 7-8 million dollars of taxpayer money per year (I assume that's what kind of money Herman would demand). Make enough of a scene and maybe FSU won't be able to break the bank for a good coach who will compete for our recruits. If boosters want to pay a coach's salary, sky is the limit but the Florida taxpayer, especially Canes fans, should not be paying taxes to help the state hire a football coach for the Noles.
