I watch Bama and I think, "wow they are frigging good." Then I think back to the 80's 90's and Butch's monster and realize we'd take them 7 out of 10. Saban is better coach than any we had but their defense is too slow to stand up to us consistently and the best player on their offense would usually had been a Cane -- Saban could never get So Fl elite WR away from our elite teams His offense would be slower if we were back. Already, he does not have AR15. We will be Nick soon and he will retire or go back to pros like Steve did when he got Caned in New Orleans. That said, those would be great football.

I would rate JJ as a better coach than Saban. Saban has more college rings but Jimmy won back-to-back Super Bowls. Johnson would have a record like Saban's had he stayed at The U, or a record like Bellichk had Jerry Jones set aside his ego and not wanted all the credit in Dallas.
 
Wait until we whip them on October 8th like Louisville did yesterday. it will be their most nuclear meltdown in their board history.

I look at them and I see a lot of those later Coker teams in them in terms of body language and behavior. They have a high sense of entitlement and think just showing up is simply enough to win. That falls on Jumbo as well. They aren't scared of him. They know he's not going to punish a top player for any reason.

When we beat the Noles in 3 weeks, I wish our players would mock the clowns that left south Florida to play for FSU. It won't happen in any widespread manner because our coach is too classy, but maybe some of our players who stayed home to fight for the good guys can get a dig or two in the paper on the traitors.

Yes, but I seem to remember Ramsey's making a couple huge important plays. But we were ahead and D should have held up.

I was just talking college, but I agree overall. We got young JJ and he learned of the job -- like three years to learn how to win a frigging bowl game -- and it cost us and him two rings. Had JJ stayed, with Butch recruiting, he would have passed the Bear himself at the college level. The talent he left Dennis was unreal and would have continued under JJ instead of falling off cliff like it did with Dennis. We don't know how long JJ would have stayed as hungry as he was when he got here. As it stands Saban his on The Bear's tail. Let's hope Mark can reach up and snatch him off the road.

They can never be as good as our good. Our good effects the landscape of cfb when we r good sfla kids stay then the talent level dips everywhere else

Agreed. I was trying to make that point. Take best So Fl kid off FSU, Bama, UGA, OSU and others and put them on Canes. We are monster and in class of our own while everyone else "is not worthy!". We would have had Duke, Collins, Cook, Sony, Calvin, etc. Everyone fights for second place when we are on our game. Heck, we would still lose a NC every other year -- we get lazy, but it would be a different team each time. Never would we have lost to Bama twice -- ever.

Sad you think that. Those Bama fans still live every win by The Bear. Today is just added to their glory. When we crush their heads, those of us who cherish pass Cane glory will do the same. You do not remove the old scalps from your belt, you merely add the new ones.
