MEGA Mega Merged Stadium Thread.

no way in **** that anyone in their right mind would attempt that walk.

Barely any would walk, certainly not enough to make an impact, but quick shuttles, bikes, scooters, e-bikes, etc. would all factor in heavily with students IMO though. 10 minutes max via anything with wheels. Super easy ride and they would make the route very two-wheel friendly for sure. Remember, only about 5000~ students live on campus iirc. And obviously not everyone would go.

Would the Magic City Casino site have height restriction issues due to proximity to the Miami Airport diagonal runway?

the marginal increase in students attending a game at tropical versus HRS would be +/- 500.

there isn't. the shopping center is 11 acres plus or minus. a stadium footprint alone is 20-25 acres (HRS is 25 acres). the 29 acres across the street was just sold to a casino entity and will likely be built out for the casino, hotel, shopping

You keep quoting the acreage of the building. I'm talking about all of the land.

Go back and look at my map snapshots.

You would have to get the measurements.

Melreese is too close to the east-west ramp.

Magic City looks sufficiently far enough from the diagonal NW-SE ramp.

So it's perfectly ok to tailgate on asphalt for 8 hours outside HRS in September, but walking 1-2 miles or less in the same heat is completely out of the question? Gotcha.

if you cannot understand the difference between tailgating on asphalt/grass versus walking 2.5 miles with all of your wares, then your severe comprehension problem is significantly worse than you originally knew.

There is absolutely a sidewalk on Miller Drive between the park campus.

there are portions of miller road that don't have sidewalks on both sides. so you would have to hop from one side of the street to another to remain on a sidewalk anyways, the sidewalk issues is trivial, you can easily pave it. but no one, i mean no one, is walking 2.5 miles to the stadium.

You're seriously suggesting the two are comparable?

Yeah. What little sidewalks there are along Miller OUTSIDE OF CORAL GABLES are nowhere near the types of sidewalks by Hard Rock.

And you can correct me if I'm wrong, you still live there, but has Coral Gables ever required sidewalks along Miller east of Red Road?

There are tons of students who live between campus and Tropical Park who would be glad to walk to/from home games at Life Wallet Stadium rahter than dirve/uber and get stuck in gridlock, but don't let that stop you from the repeated personal attacks.

Reported.
the vast majority of students live in and very close to campus (south miami) and the rest around brickell. Very few if any live near tropical park and definitely not within walking distance

there are sidewalks east of Red Road, but between Red and +/- 65 Avenue, there are none on the north side of miller. again, doesn't matter you can build them but they'll be 4 feet wide. very practical to lug coolers, umbrellas, food etc in a single file line from UM to Tropical

I forget if there are sidewalks there or not, but that’s dangerous asf to have hoards of students who are drunk asf walking alongside a busy stroad

Let’s say there was a sporting facility on campus that was literally 2 minutes away, would the students be willing to walk those 50 yards and take the two minutes to attend the games of one of the best teams in a college sport right now? Just a rhetorical question.
Probably most of them yes, but people from the city that currently attend no
