Media coverage: MIAMI HURRICANES FANS ALREADY HATE MARIO CRISTOBAL

Look at the results. If players got in their feelings for being called out, they got 2 choices much like life. Mope around and feel sorry for yourself or get up and do something about it. If they choose to feel sorry for themselves they don’t need to be a Hurricane. Coddling should be the first thing kicked off the team

Gattis is last year Broyles Award winner. He has earned the right and the players are garbage. You can’t polish a **** and even the best schemes will fail with trash talent

Garbage... Gattis needs to be shown the door. No wonder Michigan was glad to get rid of him. .. funny how there were a bunch of folks who mentioned that he was bad medicine from the day he was hired.... never had that with an assistant coach hire. Maybe we should have listened.

Steele is another washed out old fart biding time

That’s the most mellow G-rated coach criticism after a ****** loss that I’ve ever heard.

I think this season unfortunately has come down to a roster evaluation. I think it's pretty clear who on this team is working and putting up relentless efforts and who's already checked out. Mario said from the very jump that this was going to take alot of work and that we are no where near where we needed to be. I think players thought that Mario was just going to be tough at the beginning but where shocked to find out that he doesn't take the foot off the gas pedal.

And when you go from a Daiz ran program that things were more talked about than walking the walk, you can see the shell shock that most guys are in. Guys have checked out. And I promise they won't be here next year and I bet some of the names that do leave are going to be a bit surprising.

Highsmith was brought in for this exact reason. To evaluate not only potential prospects and transfers but our own roster. The guy has built how many successful rosters in 20 plus years in the league. Between him and Mario I fully expect this roster to have a mass turnover. Times have changed and either you're going to be about the work and the process or your not. And if you're not you won't wear that U on your helmet.
Blah blah blah recruits will not come here and you'll see it when this class falls apart. You think reared itching to play for Gattis...

You know when coaches say "we have to block out the noise"? They are referring to people like you. You are placing way to much blame on coaches. Coaches coach and players play. The blame is equal. I'm not saying Gattis is perfect but the identity of the team that we want to be has to be established. Yea it looks ugly bc right now there just a hand full of players that have the mentality and capability of fitting the scheme. We have to recruit. And there are players that will buy into what the vision is. And the players in this class are exactly that. Tough minded people always last longer than vanilla soft ones. You want a quick fix and there isn't one. It's going to require time something that people nowadays don't understand.

I love Mrs. Smith’s question. “Would you want to play for a coach that called you the worst team ever?” Of course not, Mrs. Smith. I want my coach to tell me we’re #1!

“I’ve heard of tough coaches”

You have? Please cite an example.

Is there a possibility of getting a 20 man class and like 40 more in the portal, cuz it kinda sounds and certainly looks like a full blown purge reset button needs to be hit from top to bottom lol. I shouldn't be surprised by any of this given the 2 decades of laissez faire country club mentality that has plagued so many staffs and teams...but god**** its disheartening to see

I get the emotion. Key and his family think they’ll be missing out on millions in the NFL if he doesn’t get more targets.
I’m guessing Young isn’t the most popular guy in the WR room.

Work harder. Hold on to the ball. The better WRs out there around you the easier it should be to get open.

None of these WRs have lit the world on fire. Any of them upset that a new guy is producing can walk out that door bc this locker room doesn't need teammates like that. I don't know if that is the case since it was him mom and not him posting. That said, the sooner these kids realize they should spend more time working on their craft than on social media, the better.

Rambo ran circles around these guys last year. He went undrafted, signed a 3 year, $2.6M deal in May and was cut in Aug. He pocked $115k in bonuses. Most of these kids will not make the league. The better you make your TEAM, the more attention your TEAM will get, and as such, the more attention YOU will get.

There is nothing wrong with a frustrated kid talking to his mother about what's going on in his life.

The mom taking to social media to pop off about it is where the problem lies. She was out of line with that move.

Gattis will be gone and very likely wherever he goes next he will look much better than he looks here.

Quoted for reference. My suspicion is that wont be the case. The dude has been exposed. His next job will likely be a position coach, not a coordinator.

They’re incentivized to be greedy. They may be delusional but think about it: If you thought you were good enough to get the millions at the next level, you’d be pretty sore if you weren’t getting targets…Unless, you received a healthy inheritance.

Also happens at the pro level. For example, Elijah Moore is boycotting the Jets because he’s not getting targets. How is he going to get hefty second contract If that continues.

As Michael Corleone told Tom Hagen: All our people are businessmen.”

They are incentivized to be good.

Sometimes a guy being publicly greedy gets what he wants.....but it's usually elite guys. The rest simply get a bad label. I wish parents spent more time trying to educate these kids than promoting poor behavior that usually doesn't work in their favor.
