Everything after bammer, osu, uga is a crap shoot. Does he sincerely think we are #4? Probably not but nobody will remember who Brett McMurphy picks 4th if we don’t make it. If we do though he’ll be make sure everyone remembers.

On paper It’s not inconceivable we could end up 4 if you believe most of the **** that gets porsted here. 7-5 last year with 3 losses by 8 points in spite of our staff and deficiencies. We return a stronger position group everywhere but WR. We dumped the worst staff in America according to this board. And now have the best staff according to this board.

We also have the best QB in America according to the new best staff.

I have said this many times in the last few months and I will say it again. If people think TVD has a good chance at the Heisman then those people should also think we have a chance at the playoffs. The two usually go hand-in-hand.

Someone like McMurphy is probably just remembering how LSU turned things around with major philosophy and coaching changes within a year's time. Maybe he truly believes TVD will have a Joe Burrow type of magical season where everything just goes right.

Let me preface this by saying I think we will probably have 3 losses by the end of November.

But

It is not too crazy to think we can luck into a playoff situation. Especially if Clemson is hypothetically our only loss and they are top 4 going into a potential rematch.
A win in that scenario almost assures us a playoff. I doubt there will be 4 undefeated Conference Champs from other leagues.

If Clemson is our only loss and we redeem ourselves in the ACCCG by beating them, we're a playoff lock.
