Let me preface this by saying I think we will probably have 3 losses by the end of November.

But

It is not too crazy to think we can luck into a playoff situation. Especially if Clemson is hypothetically our only loss and they are top 4 going into a potential rematch.
A win in that scenario almost assures us a playoff. I doubt there will be 4 undefeated Conference Champs from other leagues.

It’s the TVD hype. We would need a lot of things to break our way, but it’s not impossible for this to happen. We can’t have any more major injuries, for one. And I think Clemson is still ahead of us from a talent perspective. We’d probably need to beat them twice this year to make it, which is a huge stepping stone for us - they’ve had our number for a while now

And this is highly unlikely. Big 12 will probably beat up on each other. ND will probably be 0-1 to start the season.

If TVD had a couple of proven studs at WR I might be a little more optimistic. I think we lose two games in reg season but I suppose we still have a chance to win the ACC champ game and you never know at that point.
