Darling was pretty terrible against FSU, and has been mediocre at best so far this season. Not like Odogwu was good at RT, but he at least had the length to play tackle. Isidora at tackle now moves him from his best position, and we've now entrusted a guard spot to a lightly recruited (at best) converted D-lineman. And if Linder isn't able to play, we're going to have Gall at C? While we definitely have some individual talent on the OL, our situation at the tackles is a joke, and it's clear that it's another position where we lack the type of depth and talent that we should have at this point in Golden's 5th year.

Wrong! Isadora makes The Toddler look like he has the footwork of Sugar Ray Leonard out there.

lol^^^ Crazy thing is both The Toddler and Isadora are Bahamian kids.
They must of ate to much conch or are drunk on Kalik cause got**** the footwork has been horrible.
Bain couldnt pass a dui check sober....and isadora is moving around this year like he is doing the cha cha slide..(left foot stomp, and right foot stomp, and cha cha with your right)

This staff is so reactionary. McDermott should've got a look at G well before this week, but let's wait until we have a week that exposes our OL yet again and then make a change.

The OL was my biggest concern other than coaching going into the season and nothing has changed. Hopefully St. Louis can make some strides toward the end of the season so he can earn some real PT.

Flubberneck's gonna stack the box and blitz the crap outta Kaka. If we cannot establish a runninggame this will be a tight ugly game we could very well lose.

i want to see what Brown has at this point. He at least looks the part.
We have two guards right now that looks like the nutty professor... AND IT SHOWS IN THEIR SHODDY FOOTWORK.
i watched us in the spring game unable to do ANYTHING with our dl and i had concern since then.
Mcdermott imo is a guard all the way...as i seen him get worked worse than Darling out wide at tackle against our guys.
Darling is a tackle. Sonny as well...but we might need to hit a juco or start developing freshman just throw them out there...i think they banked on juco Jahair Jones who came here and has been getting the beating of his life in practice.
But its typical of this staff....i watched last year fsu dropped a wide eyed freshman to start againt us no worries.....and we are nervous about kicking a freshman out their when our upperclassman have looked terrible all year at the guard spots....

dont worry we wont even try to establish the run game. Coley showed that against fsu...dude called two three running plays early they aint work...and he went the **** with it...and threw the ball **** near 60 times.lol
VTECH dline iwll give us more trouble than FSU's im telling you now.
They are small but active....our line is big and lumbering...i felt that fau gave us trouble with their small quick line....add to it Bud Foster gives no f's and blitzes like **** and isnt afraid to go one on one with his cbs....Kayaa will have to get riid of balls quickly..unless we straight maul them in the run game like we did a year ago. Va tech d is small...we can run right at them...but our play calling this year running the ball has been terrible.
I agree Gall is the worst of the 5 also, and maybe the bar was low, but I don't think Sunny has been as bad as I suspected he'd be when I heard he would start. I think if he continues to improve he can at least be in rotation, which is a huge leap from what he looked like last year. Gall is not good at all.

The sad thing is that Oline looked like one of our better recruiting areas the last couple years. I guess db, lb, wr and rb was so bad they just made oline look good.

they have recruited the ol well.
We esentially lost two tackles though....one who left for draft early (shows the recruiting) and the other they kicked to the curb. Just having one of the two may have solidified the line even more....its just the weak spots....Gall is terrible..and Isadora regressed...that has lead to a domino effect as we have thrown a kid out there in Odogwu that is just learning to speak english (he has been solid) and have darling playing on the left when he is a right tackle imo.
Our group of young kids seem to have the goods...we just havent thrown them out there yet.,

Didn't Alf say that he was going to make personnel changes LAST week in reacting to the Cincy loss? What were those changes?
Are these the big changes he was referring to?
I know folks are quick to say Darling is a natural guard but with a little more seasoning, I think he can be fine at tackle.

As a poster said, these guys are always making changes when its too late. They bench DCrawford AFTER he gets roasted against Cincy even though we all knew he should have not played after the FAU game.
They bench Gall AFTER the FSU game when we all knew his a$$ should have never played after the Cincy game.

they are reactionary by nature. they both run our wefense which is the most reactionary unit ive ever seen a cane team have. We have never forced a offense to do anything....even randy wasnt this reactionary. Watch our defense...we wont blitz until the redzone or until a team gets beyond our 40 yd line. Its crazy....at all we wont send ablitz..until we HAVE TO.
